Make sure you compare to Navionics before you make a decision to buy

I feel that the Navionics card , at least in my case, has better resolution of the contour lines than this product has. On the flipside, this product meshes seamlessly with Humminbird proprietary features like Follow The Contour and autopilot, so it will better interface with your MinnKota motor. Another caveat, the "plus" feature on this card , which adds a satellite imagery overlay of the surrounding land is absolutely and utterly useless. Terrible resolution which only gets worse with zoom. Save yourself the extra money and get the standard, not the plus.

I purchased this to get a better idea of the bodies of water in my state (MA) but was disappointed to find they basically just took the free maps the fish and wildlife provide and sell them to you. I was also under the impression that the aerial view option covered the entire body of water, however, on some of the bodies I’ve fished it only had partial aerial view. I think you’re better of getting a zero lines mapping card and doing your maps or just googling the body of water you are fishing on your phone if you want to learn more about the composition of the body of water you will be fishing.

chip provides good clarity and decent contour divisions. It has most of the lakes that I visit so my coverage is good.

MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE IN THE DEFINITION

This made a big difference in our ability to locate fishing areas based upon terrain. The card seems slow to react and some times does not track well when you are moving at fast speeds.
