A review from a preemie mom

Most of the reviews on these diapers seem to be from folks using them for dolls or animals. I wanted to post a review for other parents who will be using them for their intended purpose--a premature infant. My daughter was born five weeks prematurely and she wore these diapers until she was 10 weeks old. I highly recommend them for preemies. They are soft, super absorbent and the fasteners are sticky so they never fall off. In 10 weeks, I never once had a leak, blow out or rash. The wetness indicator works very well and darkens strongly. They are also unscented which is a huge plus for me, as I dislike the baby powder scent so many diapers have. They even have Pooh Bear on them. They are perfect for tiny, sensitive little ones. Highly recommended for actual preemie babies. I am sticking with Huggies for all future diaper sizes. Pampers were far worse in every way.

Overall Pretty Good

No one really expects a preemie so we had to hurry and grab these. Overall they are really good, they fit our 4lb babe and stay on. Easy to read blue line for the quick night time check. The only annoyance is that the tabs are a bit hard to pull but not the worst.

Be careful about package labelling in the photo

I ordered these as a baby shower gift. (Note, the recipient's registry was with Target, who wouldn't do delivery... I live in a different state). Their baby is yet to be born, but hopefully they will arrive at the due date at a healthy weight. These looked identical to the product my friends requested, but I missed the "P" in the picture. Unfortunately, the product description was generic without reference to sizing, so I only noticed this detail when I went to track the delivery. Just thought I'd share in case the less detail oriented folks out there do as I did, and accidentally order the wrong size.

Favorite brand of diapers

First time mom here. I've tried Huggies, Pampers, and Honest Co, and so far Huggies are my favorite. They are the softest, most absorbent, and most leak-proof.

Fits a 5lb 8oz preemie

My son was born 5 weeks early and we tried both huggies and pampers. The pampers preemie size is the smaller of the two, it was almost too snug on my son ( 5lb 8oz) Huggies preemie fit perfect. We've since sized up with the huggies snug and dry and the huggies little movers. I've tried other brands of diapers, but we are huggies all the way. No blow outs, gussets inside. Wicks diaper dry.

Great buy for baby alive doll

Purchased for my daughters baby alive doll, but has used them on my infant when she was smaller and had no issues. Soft, good fit and I found Huggies catches the blow outs better than other brands.

la talla no ajusta

Estos pañales se venden como prematuros, sin embargo yo compre a walmart.com pañales de la misma marca prematuros y son mucho mas pequeños (como a la mitad de estos que me enviaron), por lo tanto, seria bueno tanto amazon como sus clientes sepan que estos pañales no le ajustan a un bebe prematuro (incluso aunque el empaque diga Prematuro, son casi del mismo tamaño que los de recién nacido :(

too small for my 2.5 kg premmie, leaked

my little one is only ~ 2.5 kg and we've been using size 1 huggies. yes, they're huge on her but they've never leaked and they keep her cleaner and dryer because the nappy is further from her skin. I tried the premmie nappies, hoping their snug fit would make it more cosy for her but they are more annoying to work with and they have leaked already! They're supposed to be for up to 3 kg but i find they leave our little one dirtier (since they are in contact with her skin), and their velcro bit is harder to remove, making nappy changing more fussy. maybe these are good for tiny, tiny ones, and maybe they are softer (i didn't notice), but they're not for us and we didn't even use up the box but have returned to the size 1 huggies!

Don’t buy, terrible exterior material and Velcro.

Got this for my 3 day old little girl who’s 5lbs. Although the sizing works, the exterior material is terrible. If you re-adjust the Velcro, it pulls fabric fibers that becomes loose and gets everywhere! It got stuck on her umbilical cord which is just horrible to remove, unsafe and annoying!
