This is the one you want

A lot of the other options for 7 pin trailer pigtails, have contact blades that are thin, somewhat U shaped. They look like something that will break with little use. These Hopkins are flat and molded in. Let's be truthful, Installation is a PIA even when you know way around a trailer and wiring. I am totally impressed with the materials and assembly of this product. I needed the 6 ft and would assume all the lengths offered in this line would have equal quality. I would recommend this product.

Solid construction

This was a bit more expensive to buy than just purchasing a connector and wiring it myself but the time savings was more important. The molded-on connector also is better at keeping out water (and resultant corrosion) than the clamp-on connectors. The color coding on the wires was different than coding used on my trailer but the packaging showed the proper function of each wire. If you buy this product be sure to connect the wires as described by function rather than just trying to match colors. Otherwise the running lights might come on when you step on the brakes. I wish trailer manufacturers would agree on a standardized color code.

not wired correctly, a person would think buying Hopkins that you would receive a product wired to USA standards correctly but that's not the case....replacing existing plug from Hopkins to Hopkins- no even close would not purchase again, quality control is not there-

Quality Cable and Connector

Exactly what I needed! Quality and construction is top notch. The wiring color code chart on the cardboard packaging really made it easy to hook-up right the first time. Just be aware that the bundled wires are 3 different guages when buying any connectors needed to terminate/connect the wire end: White (ground) and Black (Battery) are both 10 gauge; Blue (electric brakes) is 12 gauge and all the rest are 14 gauge wire. It really helps to have the right gauge hardware to complete a project professionally.

A quality plug for a trailer hitch

Well made but is too short to use in the trailer I’m rewiring.

Well made product

Some low-life recently cut the trailer cable/connector off my Fleetwood Avalon and I decided to replace it using this cable. I used some alligator clip cables to test if the colors matched up between my trailer and this cable. They were an exact match! Excellent product and I'll look for this manufacturers items in the future.

Great product.

Exactly as advertised. Had to replace a product that said it was 4ft long from another manufacturer but it was too short for my application. Easy to install. All the colored wires matched up perfectly.
