Hydraulics do NOT last! Useless in 2 years.

I bought this chair about 2 years ago. I am not a heavy person and now the seat will not stay up. It just slowly falls down to it's lowest position in about a minute. I have it in the locked position, but the lock does not hold anymore. It makes the chair totally useless.

Very solid chair with a couple small quirks

Very solid chair and was quite easy to put together. The mesh back is well-done and feels like it will last a long time. Two minor negatives are that: (1) the seat fabric is not adhered to the seat cushion such that when you stand up, you always hear the fabric separate from the cushion and then the foam slowly reinflates to meet the fabric, and (2) the lever for controlling up-down movement moves the opposite way of how you would imagine, meaning that if you want to raise the seat up, you have to push the lever down--which is weird to do. These are obviously minor gripes, the chair is otherwise very substantial, comfortable, and looks good. Definitely worth the money.

Affordable quality office chair

The HON Volt Task Chair is a very easy to assemble chair. I am really happy with this purchase and a wonderful investment having to work from home. It is both sturdy and comfortable to sit in for extended periods. The warranty and customer support offered made it an easy purchase decision.

The perfect chair with the perfect height adjustment

Great task chair with great range on the seat bottom. After having some pleather chairs and a hideous L-shaped desk for my daughters to do their schoolwork on, I redesigned my office and decided to get rid of all the early 2000's furnishings. Looking around, I found the perfect Pottery Barn desks, but the problem was I couldn't use my old chairs (not that I wanted to). I looked at chairs locally to fit the "lift" bill but could only find drafting chairs or chairs that sat about 3 inches lower than what I needed (even other Hon models. Doing some research, I found that THIS 5711 Hon chair was the only one that fit the bill. Not having a local retailer of this chair, I took the risk and bought one from Amazon. Now that I've out it together, which was a complete breeze, and am sitting here writing this review, I'm about to order another for the other desk so my daughters can both sit in a good position while doing their homework.

This might be a nice chair for some but not for all

The seat on the chair is well padded...it seems very sturdy...but is not a chair for everyone..if your on the taller side it might be fine...but I am average height...and the back support..hits my back in the wrong spot...making it very uncomfortable to side in for any length of time!

Chair didn’t function and customer service was beyond horrible

Chair doesn’t adjust upright, they expect you to take it apart, which was near impossible as the metal was bent, plus had to find a box as it longer fit in the box it came in …I would not recommend it., too much of a hassle. Amazon customer service was not helpful either unfortunately to remedy this.
