Pathetic!

This is a great product, but delivered to me late and the box was crushed and Not Sealed. The product was just pieces returned by someone and thrown together in the box. The back plaque was scratched and unusable. Pieces were put together already that should not have been. Fortunately my plumber was able to use some it to solve our problem. But this was a pathetic delivery for any product especially at this high cost! Are you kidding Amazon?! All my trust is gone that this company can do things right.

Not as pictured

The picture clearly shows this faceplate to be all brushed nickel. For $430 it should be. Instead, it has cheap gray plastic discs for the water volume and temperature. Disapointing.

Works great for people with different temperature desires, or to stop/restart at the same temp

Grohe has made top-quality plumbing items for many years, and since we plan to stay here for a long time, when we needed to replace the 30-year-old shower controller we wanted to get a product that meets our needs, will operate smoothly, and will last a long time. There are a variety of styles and models with different features available, depending on your wants and needs. We wanted to have separate volume and temperature controls, with the latter being a true temperature controller (adjusting for changes in temperature of the incoming hot or cold water to yield a set output temperature) and the former being a fully-pressure-balanced flow rate control. This model does it all, and in a design that we like that is very "clean" and contemporary. My wife likes to take "hot" showers, while I like showers about 5 degrees or so lower in temperature. To save water, I wet down and lather up quickly, and stop the flow until I'm ready to rinse, so I want the temperature to come back on at the same setting that I used before. That's where the volume control being separate from the temperature control is a big improvement over our previous shower control. We also don't have to take into consideration the incoming hot or cold water temperatures, since the setting of the temperature control automatically adjusts for them. She sets the temperature before starting the water flow, waits a few seconds for the hot water from the nearby tankless water heater to arrive, and steps in. I just move the temperature setting a little bit to accommodate my temperature preference and otherwise use the same process. Minimizes water waste, gets you the temperature you want and holds it there regardless of incoming water temperatures or pressures, and looks good on the wall. Can't ask for better!
