Lightweight and Breathable + Update

Out of the package these undershirts are exactly what I was looking for. I am a woman and wear a women’s medium and purchased these in a men’s size small. I could not find a women’s tee that was LIGHTWEIGHT and cost effective. I specifically bought these undershirts to wear daily under lightweight, fitted, performance fleece and pullovers during the cooler months for school and work. If you are looking for a substantial, thick, men’s undershirt this is not it and you will be disappointed. These are somewhat sheer, lightweight, rayon poly blend. I think they would be great for men who need a breathable undershirt when temps are high. I have not washed these yet (hence the 4stars) so I cannot attest to shrinkage or pilling, I will update my review as I break these tees in. The care instructions on the package read, “Machine wash warm w/like colors. Do not use fabric softener. Use only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Tumble dry medium. Cool iron if needed.” Since these tees are “delicate” so-to-speak I will wash them as delicates and hopefully that will prolong their life + appearance. I think if you wash them with jeans or unlike fabrics w/harsh detergents they will not hold up well. These undershirts seem to have been made for folks looking for this specific type of undershirt, like me. More to come after some wash and wear. Here’s the update. They’re holding up just fine. I wash on gentle cycle with a gentle detergent and tumble dry on low. The only shrinkage I feel is in the arms but they loosen up with wear. I have pics with one on, but I cannot upload them with this review, which is a bummer because I feel like you can get a good idea as to how they fit and the material. Anyhoo, hope this helps.

Five stars....why???

Good T-shirt. I don't won't to dump on it....however, it is incredibly SHEER! It is nearly 'see through'. I should have regarded other reviews more carefully. If you don't like a sheer/thin cloth, make sure it is 100% cotton that you are purchasing (think 'modesty/old school'). NOT this particular fabric blend. Know your 'cup of tea' before you purchase.

A little thin but worth the money

I have been an avid Hanes t-shirt wearer for many years. They come in so many styles and blends it’s hard to keep track. These shirts happen to be on the thin side. They are soft but not as soft as some of Hanes other styles. First thing I do before I wear new clothing is wash them which I did with these in cold water with bleach. They held up with no shrinkage or stretching. They fit as expected and are comfortable. They are a good summer t-shirt as said before they are thin. I will wear these under a short sleeve button down and not as a stand alone shirt due to the thinness and sheerness. For the price on 5 shirts it’s a good deal. Even if they only last a few months.

Very light fabric so good for hot weather

These shirts are made of very light polyester/rayon fabric which makes them good undershirts in hot weather. Mine are size Large even though no size was given in the original listing. That's what I was hoping based on a Q&A entry.

Comfortable, but thin material.

Bought these for my husband. Probably great as undershirts. A little thin if you like to wear just plain white t shirts, like he does.

Thin material but good for the price

Although these are sold as 'tagless', there is a honking big orange imprint on the inside of the back. White Ts are all I wear in the summer so getting five for this price is great. Hanes makes good stuff. The material is very thin but we've had a hot summer so thin is good. Loose and floppy but I love them. Great deal.

I love these shirts. I have been looking for a plain white tee that fits the way I like for years and have had no luck. It turns out these inexpensive ones are exactly what I needed. They are light but not see-through and are that nice balance between undershirt and heavy weight tee. I’m very happy with the purchase
