They're not the most comfortable as they are slim fit bermudas

Looks cute and classy, probably a great uniform for school. If you have to wear school uniforms I'd be all for it! However these weren't the most comfortable shorts for my daughter as the elastic doesn't hang and adjust to kids as easily as just a regular pair of shorts or leggings. My daughter doesn't love them but wears them occasionally when I ask her to. They are pretty classy looking though and the navy belt adds a cute detail.

Nice shorts

I ordered these shorts for my 5 year old daughter. She is in Kindergarten & her school has a specific dress code. They have to wear khaki, navy, or black bottoms with a school polo. I ordered a size 6 in slim & they fit her perfectly. The shorts do have an adjustable waist & I had to cinch it in a few notches because she is so slim. I've been using this brand of shorts & pants for years with my son & they are great for school.

Well made and perfect length for school!

Perfect shorts for school!! I ordered a size 6 for my 6 year old daughter and they fit well. They are an appropriate length for school. They include a cute belt with a bow, which my daughter loves. The material is well made and high quality. My little girl says they are comfy, she likes to wear them often. Very satisfied and would recommend.

Slim Fit Bermuda Shorts

Gymboree always makes the best clothes for children so I didn't hesitate to review this product. These shorts did not disappoint. They looked great on my girl. They are a slim fit cut so if you have a child with muscular thighs, you may want to size up. Also the pants have the adjustable elastic waist to cinch the waist for a better fit. The shorts came with a belt but unfortunately I don't think most children, if any at all, can put on a D Ring belt. So I wished the belt had velcro or a snap to close the belt instead of the D rings. Other than that, I highly recommend these shorts, especially if your child has a uniform requirement at their school.

Runs slightly big -- not sure about the sizing chart

Closure: Hook/Latch Adjustable waist elastics Made in Balegdesh 98% Cotton/2% spandex Normally I order the based on the "size" number and how that corresponds to my kids age. I realized this isn't great since it isn't to their actual measurements. This time I ordered this based on the sizing charts measurement. My 7 year old is 48.5" and 65lbs with a 24.5" waist. According to the sizing chart that would make her at the upper end of a size 8 and ordered that size. I was worried, however, since she was at the upper end of that weight that the waist would be too tight. On the contrary, the waist actually had a lot of room and I had to use the adjustments on the. Therefore I think these run slightly big. The fabric itself is nice. It it soft and doesn't seem to hold on to wrinkles... much. The belt is completely detachable so it can work for both boys and girls which is a huge bonus for us since we do a lot of hand-me-downs in our family.
