gets into tighter spaces

This device lets you get into smaller spaces. I was able to rake out the ashes a lot easier. It's good and strong it did not bend. I would recommend this

Better than What I expected

Shovel the ashes out of the BBQ, Rake you charcoal, and lift your BBQ grate with ease, this tool is a big spoon, with a perfect edge to rake and the notches to engage the BBQ grate to lift and move around, with the right length to keep you from burning yourself and still keep control, steady, but light. Sturdy, well made tool.

Was just as described, and works well. It’s sturdy, well engineered and designed, shovels coals nicely, and lifts grate as claimed. I use it every time I grill, for scooping briquettes into a starting chimney, as well as spreading coals to organize fire location.

Most Valuable Grilling Tool

I have been grilling for years. I never knew how much I needed this grilling tool. I used to fumble around trying to rearrange charcoal using tongs. This OXO shovel and rake tool quickly rearranges charcoal.

Gets used all the time.

I use it to scrape the ash crud off of my Weber kettle. Needed to put a slight bend to match the curve of the bowl, but works absolutely well. Sturdy enough to pick up the grate, but with slight flex. One tool that gets used all the time.
