Nice Selvedge Denim in Skinny Fit

These jeans have definitely exceeded my (admittedly) low expectations. Not only are these jeans relatively thick, stiff, and rich in indigo for a lighter weight denim; the fit is also excellent for what I consider to be skinny jeans. I got a pair of 29x32 which fit better than I could have ever even expected. My go to jeans are 28/29x30 Levi's 510 rigid for fit and quality (but the quality of the 510 has gone down in recent years which has driven me to other denim unless I can find 510 premium. These blue line selvedge jeans have 1% stretch but it's very negligible and only serve to make them conform to your body instead of looking a bit cardboard-y. As for the quality, I have worn these about 10 times and they aren't showing any significant stretch (except in the waist) and are not bagging in the knees. These are a great entry into selvedge denim and they also provide a nice skinny fit very similar to the rigid 510s One thing to note: I am about 5'9" and since I had to order a 32" inseam if I wanted the 29" waist I went for it, thinking in the worst case I could double cuff them or get them tailored. When I opened them they were pre-cuffed to about 1/2 in. When I put them on they fit me perfectly including the inseam (just like putting on my rigid 510s with a 30" inseam). I double checked the interior tag and it reads 29x32 but these fit much more like a 29x30. This is the only critique I would make because if I truly needed a 32" inseam these would come up short. In every other way, these jeans are definitely worth a shot!

Skinny like 510

The color of the denim is fantastic, exactly what I was looking for and can't wait to get a good fade going on it. I'm always a little worried about buying selvedge online because of the waist but this fit me perfectly. You want it a little snug since it will loosen over time. I usually wear levi 510's and the leg width is comparable, I was actually expecting it to be a little wider but it's definitely skinny, another comparison to the 510's is that there is more room for the butt. In 510's it's pretty tight there and flattens my butt, these selvedge jeans provides more room there which is great.

I am a scuba diver and lifeguard

These are the best dive jeans made. These are truly shrink-to-fit, and fit better with every swim & dive. I wear them as a light-wieght wetsuit because the stretch provides freedom of movement underwater. Plus, you can go from dryland-to-pool/ocean, and back to dryland effortlessly. Often, just 'suiting-up' in a slippery boat en route to a rescue is hazardous - and far too time-consuming. Optional: you add a rashguard shirt and fins, and you are ready to swim to a rescue, dive, or scuba. These become your second skin in water; they mold to you and funnel water over your body. The surge in the denim/elastane in these jeans makes their fit very similar to competition swim pants. I swim faster and free dive faster/deeper wearing in these skins. They give you about 1mm thermal protection in cooler water, and are negatively bouyant for quick dives. If you are a serious (or recreational) swimmer/diver/lifeguard, make these your second skin and you'll always be prepared, confident, and look awesome! I have extra pairs - and reserve them specifically for swimmimg. Buy the waist 1 size smaller and length 1 - 2 inches longer, for hydrodynamics and too allow them to draw up. If they fit tight enough, you most likely won't need a belt. But if you do, the standard scuba divers 2" wide belt is best - because the belt loops on these skins accommodate them so well. "Swim strong, dive deep" & be safe on the water.

Better than I expected

Better than I expected. I like the way they fit — they are quite tight in the calf area and slightly loose in the waist but they look good. They aren't stretchy like other similar fitting jeans I've had, so that may make them seem a bit tighter in the calves than in reality. They are very comfortable though. The material is good quality. I do like the color. I hope that the dye doesn't come off easily, but I rubbed them on a white tee shirt and didn't notice anything. Overall, they're a nice lookin, simple pair of jeans. I could see myself wearing them almost daily in cooler weather and might order another pair.I hope they hold up decently and I will update this review if I have any problems with them.

Too tight on the calf

I'm 6' 135 lbs, so fairly tall and skinny. These jeans were almost perfect, but a bit large in the butt area (probably due to my size, rather than the pants). The one deal breaker was the fit in the calf. Right behind the knee and into the calf area was extremely tight and actually made the pants uncomfortable. I don't believe I have much larger than average calves, but I do snowboard and skateboard for reference which may contribute. For reference, the Uniqlo Skinny-Fit 29x34 jeans (altered to 32 inseam) fit perfectly, and are very similar around the thigh but better conforming to my butt and the calf area is significantly more roomy without being baggy. I ended up returning the Goodthreads jeans for Uniqlo because of this.

These are great. Truly no complaints.

These are great, I also purchased the non-selvedgemonths earlier. I have been using both for months now and they’ve both been great but I prefer these. No issues with quality in material or fit. For me, it’s either these or pairs that cost closer to $200. And they’ve been holding up well to wear and wash. I’m 6 ft, 30 inch waist and the sizing is perfect. I hope they continue these jeans because they’ve been the best I’ve found in years for less than $100.

Good looking pants!

These are really good looking pants and very well made. My only complaint is that they are kind of hard to take off because of how tight they are at the ankles. Other than that, the quality and look are great. I would recommend to anyone who wants a good pair of pants from Amazon.

Pretty good pair of jeans at a fair price.

Pretty satisfied with this pair of jeans as my first clothing purchase from Amazon. Only ripe is that the seams seem like they turn at or around my ankles, which is kind of a pet peeve, because the selvedge on the cuff sometimes ends up on the front of my leg instead of on the side.

Not Skinny jeans

Had to return these jeans. They were advertised as Skinny and even the label says Skinny, but they are anything but. They seemed decent enough quality, but just not the right fit for me. If you like skinny jeans, these are not for you.

No complaints

Great for the price. Definitely a more modern strech fit fabric than traditional more solid denim but very comfy. Not sure how durable they will prove to be but for a tenner can't complain.
