Very good but needs an updated design
I like this microwave cooker and will continue to use it. There is one design change that would make it perfect. The radius of the turn from bottom to side of the bowl needs to be larger. When used for rice where the water and rice proportions are precise or for ramen noodles where there is a surplus of water, there is no problem. If you use it to reheat something from the freezer, there can be a problem. I reheated, from frozen, a thick chili/red beans and rice casserole. There was no need to add water to the recipe, these were leftovers that just needed heating. The narrow radius at the bottom corner of the bowl allows for concentrated microwaves to pass through the food. Without stirring every 60-90 seconds the food in the corner of the bowl overheats and almost burns. If left unattended for 4-5 minutes too long the food would go from overcooked to burnt very easily. I would also think that a more gentle curve would make for easier manufacturing and easier stirring. Still like it the way it is and will continue to use it!!

Great addition to the kitchen
There are so many things you can cook in this. It not just for Rice. I fix patoes ,soups just about anything. It good for single people or college students.. I have bought 5 so far for gifts . All of them were loved by male and female going to college. Great buy easy to clean and use with microwave .

Doesn’t completely cook rice

One trick pony, but it’s great for that purpose
The instructions work well for cooking a full cup of raw rice (to make 2 cups cooked). I usually don’t cook more than 1/2 cup raw (1 cup cooked) for just myself, so it took a little bit of experimenting to get the amount of water right. My conclusion is that the ratio of water to rice needs to be 2:1 + 1/2 cup, regardless of how much you’re cooking.

Very Impressed
I was skeptical about this product but it's definitely met and exceeded my expectations. I was going to buy a rice cooker but couldn't justify the cost and didn't have the space for it. I'm glad I gave this little wonder a chance because it makes great rice each and every time! I did ok with stove top rice but after using this item I now realize, oh, not all rice clumps together? LOL. Clean up is gloriously easy. No sticky rice at the bottom. No overflow clean up on the stove. Cooking and set up instructions are skeletal at best so the maker should improve on that regard. If you play around with it bit you'll find things piece together with little fuss. An added bonus is that microwaving the rice frees up stove space when cooking which is always handy. Highly recommended!

Cooks well but breaks easy
It does its job well. I've cooked rice in it many times, even though 2 of the latches broke after a few uses. It shouldn't have broken so it tells me the lid isn't built sturdy, but other than that it's great for convenience instead of boiling a pot.

Love this over the Sistema
I have a Sistema rice cooker, used it for a good 3 years. Loved it, until I got this one...what I LOVE about this one is the way the lid fits into the bowl so I can drain things in it so easily-the handles fit into the bowl so it is really much safer to drain. I use both cookers for all sorts of stuff, vegis, potatoes, corn, etc. So the draining part is important to me. I wish I had gotten this one first, as I wouldnt have bought the Sistema.
