Good choice

In the interest of full disclosure I will state that we have a house full of Danze plumbing fixtures. When shopping years ago these appeared to be the highest quality and,therefore, the best value. Not that they were in expensive, because they were not, but they were built well and worth the money. This faucet replaces an older, similar Danze unit we installed 10+ years ago which failed and for which parts are not available due to a design change. I like The Foodie better than the original in some respects. First, the overall size and scale of the faucet is not as imposing and is less cumbersome than our original. As such it is more pleasing to look at; along those same lines, the Caliente hose color happens to match our color scheme perfectly ! Finding this was a happy accident. The spray head is also smaller and takes up less sink space than our original unit. Unfortunately the twist adjustment is not ideal as it is almost impossible to perform with wet hands and, even with dry hands, is inconvenient versus pressing a button. On the other hand, the buttons on the spray head of our original were replaced three times by Danze under warranty; really, we should have asked for a fourth as the third one broke within the first month of use but we did not. All in all I would recommend this as a kitchen faucet and perhaps even as a bar faucet. It is stylish and of good quality. For the sale price of $80 this one is a no-brainer. As I stated at the beginning, we have a house full of Danze purchased not for price but for quality. I'm not sure exactly what transpired but the brand is now Gerber and I will tell you, in all honesty, this product is not the same build quality as Danze. Now, almost all plumbing fixtures are not what they once were. This is due to many factors including industry regulation, environmental laws etc. The days of going out and finding everything manufactured out of brass and copper, for example, are over. Everything now is modern materials with a heavy reliance on o-rings. Comparing this to the quality other major manufacturers I feel it remains among the best. Our past positive experiences with the Danze product warranty has been stellar and is one reason we chose to purchase Gerber at this time.

Nice Faucet

Very nice faucet for the money. Looks very expensive. Only negative is the spray control is difficult to change.

Just A Couple Things...

...really make me question this product's quality. So I got done installing this faucet and turn the handle to left, no hot water. Turn on cold side and I get hot water. Checked my connections again and yep, they're connected correctly. Seems somebody at the factory hooked the red marked hose to the right side?? Ok no big deal I swap them, but then I tighten up the connection at the spray head and this also seemed to make the spray/stream switch even harder to change. Yeah so all the people complaining about the thing being hard to switch are justified. Just a bad design that needs to be updated so you can switch it to spray with one hand. And also yes, the sprayer does not reach too far down once removed from the stand so much more limited range than a standard hose sprayer. One more thing, the color is not really stainless but more of a brushed Nickel finish because of a slight goldish hue. Our friends have had this faucet for a couple years and no issues so if it lasts that long for us then I'll update to 4 stars. Just unfortunate that a few issues let down what could be a really nice product.

good looking and well made...

That said, the spray is a little wide if you have a narrow sink and the hose doesn't lower much once removed from the holder.. but , it looks as good as some I saw in stores for 5-6 X the price..

Great Customer Service!

I bought the Foodie 2/19/2019. The faucet worked wonderfully. Sometime the change over from stream to spray required a bit finagling, but nothing major. Almost 2 years to the day, the faucet started to leak from the neck. I contacted customer service, filled in the info, and provided the requisite pictures and they sent the replacement promptly. Just installed. Easy peasy. the transition from stream to spray is even easier!

almost perfect

overall this is a super nice faucet. it's well built, high quality, feels great to use. but, with the need to twist the head with 2 hands to switch between spray and stream, i can't give it 5 stars. it would be SO awesome if you could replace the head with something with a push button.

Excellent water pressure

I originally bought this faucet from Costco.com for my son. I wanted one of my own and when Costco stopped carrying it I bought a Kohler from them that they had on special. I knew I could return it if I wasn't happy with it, which is what I did. Had a plumber install the Kohler and then had him come right back and remove it. Horrible. Amazon had the Danze that I wanted and so I ordered it thru Amazon. Best decision ever. Water pressure is amazing.

It is difficult to use the spray feature on this faucet, especially when your hand is wet.

I use this faucet in my kitchen. Very modern design. Looks very good.

Nice faucet was ... after 2 years

after 2 years the thing is leaking really bad .. right by the handle. water all over the place... DONT BUY!!!

BEWARE!

The media could not be loaded. Beware, it is my second unit in 2 years, it looks good it dosen't look cheap but there is a problem with the moving joints it's leaking after a couple of month of use. I have to say that their after sale service is good, fast on reshipping a new one both times.
