Overall great product, but have some room for improvement.

What I liked: 1. Convenient to have the clock and nightlight in a single unit. Sound machine is definitely a good addition, but not as useful as the other two features (see below for improvement ideas). 2. Color coded light reminder before sleep and wake time can be a great training tool to get kids on schedule. 3. Long USB cord, so no issue reaching outlets that are at the bottom of the night stand. (And USB-C to boot!) 4. I do like the automated clock sync when linked with your phone via Bluetooth. What I didn't like: 1. Nightlight has to be manually turned on. I would be much easier if this can be automated with the sleep time (turn on) and wake time (turn off). Also it does not remember the brightness and you have to hit the button numerous times just to turn it off. 2. If the sounds can also be automated like the night light, that would be appreciated. 3. On the topic of sounds, the lowest volume is still a bit loud in my opinion. If the volume can be adjusted even lower, that would be better for quieter rooms. (Rain is super loud). Also, sound quality seems a bit sub par, as rain just sounds like static (comparing with iPhone's built in rain background sound). This could just be the sound file itself vs the speaker quality, but I'm not sure. 4. At this price, I would probably expect it to be a smart device with an app that can do all this automation and perhaps even have the ability to upload your own sounds from your linked phone.

Great sound machine at a great price point!

We've used the Frida sound machine for a few weeks now and love it! I love that it says the time on it, something our last sound machine didn't feature. I'm not super thrilled with the sound options, my child is used to more "brown" noise and the options weren't quite what we've used in the past but he's gotten used to this one so it's okay. The when to wake feature is great and I love that it can lock so he can't mess with it :). I love that it's a great price point and looks great on the dresser! I'm always a fan of frida products!

Does the job!

I am using this mainly for the sound machine for my baby. The buttons are kind of finicky when you set the clock up and the sleep/wake times. Also, When turning the sound back on the 2 second hold is hard to gage initially, I accidentally changed the sound then you have to go through them all again to find the one I liked, but that’s more of user error. Since I’ve had it for a week or so the turning sound machine on and off is easy peasy! I also like that the clock stays set when I unplug to move the machine to another room. I love the night light it is great for changing diapers in the dark! The look of it is very nice and for the most part it’s user friendly! Checks all the boxes for me once I had it all set up! I also love the versatility in its look, as in it will grow with my daughter as she gets older.

The best When-to-Wake Clock

I bought this clock for my second child, and it has a lot more features than the one I bought for my older child, features that I think greatly add to it's value. My second child is a lighter sleeper, and we are using the noise machine when we put him down at night. The light from the glowing clock is the perfect brightness to work as a nightlight but not disrupt his sleep. Most importantly the clock's most important buttons - including the button to lock to settings - are on the bottom, where a child doesn't see them. This is GENIUS. That alone tells me that this was invented by a parent! It can actually be difficult to find a clock that locks, and these curious kids will reset the entire thing with easy access to buttons that don't lock. I highly recommend this clock as a tool that grows with your child - a sound machine for a baby and a ready-to-wake clock for a toddler.

Best sound machine

We have owned several sound machines and the Frida Baby is my favorite. I like that it’s not just a sound machine. It’s several products in one. I especially like the wake up timer feature and that it has a built in night light. Even my older child has asked have one of these instead of his basic sound machine because of the blue tooth speaker function LOL. Highly recommend!

Great product!

I love how there are so many different features in one product! The nightlight comes in multiple levels to adjust for the brightness you are looking for. There are 7 noises on the sound machine to allow you to see what works best for your kiddo. We are just entering the phase where we will start to use the “when to wake” clock. We know it will be a great visual for our son as we move to that next step!

Nice nightlight

My daughter is not old enough to use the light function on this, but we are currently using this as a clock. It also has quite a few different sounds to choose from. I think it will be great in the future when she is older and can use the red and green colors to tell her when to wake and sleep.

Cheaper alternative to hatch without the app control

Like: sleek appearance, alarm capability, bluetooth ability, toddler lock, cheaper option compared to hatch. Dislike: In the days of app convenience, this device is lacking. App control is so baseline for most devices and the convenience of controlling a device with several different features using an app is preferable. The bluetooth function was nice since I prefer a brown noise that isn't provided, but the max volume using bluetooth (with my phone also turned all the way up) was so quiet, it didn't prove useful for a replacement for my normal bluetooth devices. Overall I prefer the hatch for my needs, the hatch "Rest" has the convenience of the app and the sound selection which is all i need for my kiddos. This device is a good alternative for those looking for the extra features (alarm, when to wake light feature) without the app feature for a lower cost than its competitor "hatch rest plus" .
