Cracked on installation

This intake cover cracked where the neck meets the cage as it was being installed. It can not be used at all.

Fluval 407 Users - It fits perfectly!

Purchased this intake strainer (#A20008) unsure if it would fit my 407 model pump. Great news - it's a perfect fit! Easy replacement. I didn't give it 5 stars because the plastic used is very brittle. In fact, the reason I'm purchasing this is that my brand new-in-box 407 came with the intake strainer broken/crushed into tons of pieces from the factory.

Good fit

I bought a set for my Fluval 404 because I could not locate the parts that I know I had. So I tried it on and it was a great fit. For some reason, as I was putting the pieces together, guess what I found, the original pieces, so I returned this for credit along with the other parts I bought.

Annoying noise

My old strainer broke , so bought this replacement, its slowing down the flow causing the filter to make intermittent noise. Starting to get annoying . When I take the strainer off the noise stops.

on fluval website sells the same parts 406/407, so tried this (as i broke the inlet part) and it fits perfectly.

Helps maintenance having two of these

Although pictured white I received a black. Very easy to install. Twist off and twist on. I had no idea just how clogged up the old one was. Now I can interchange every so often.
