Don’t buy unless you like goggles that leak

My children are avid swimmers and have worn Finis goggles since they all started swim lessons at 6 months of age. They are tweens/teens now and all on the petite side. They swim daily and for most of the afternoon so we go through about a pair per kid per summer. I bought these about a month ago as I anticipated they’d need new ones. These have been the worst goggles. They have always leaked, from the first time my kids put them in to swim. I would not recommend this particular style to anyone.

Kids can see better with these.

My kids love these, they can see better out of them than the tyr swimple mirrored goggles.

good affordable goggle

Fair disclosure, I am a swim coach and mother to 5 competitive swimmers. Our team is sponsored by speedo so I ma more familiar with their products. Finis has a great reputation in swimming. I was surprised that these goggles, priced comparatively to the speedo equivalent, arrived in plastic bag packaging, unlike the speedo's protective cardboard and solid plastic. It is labeled that it is packaged mindfully to reduce waste, but given that plastic is not recycleable and the cardboard is, I'm not sure about that. These fit youth sized faces, and they fit my 10-13 year old swimmers fine. My older kids found them to be too small. The nose pieces (3) can be switched out to accommodate different nose bridge sizes. In my experience the nose pieces and straps are the weak part on most goggles. These come with the plastic cords that tend to break but can be switched out for a bungee style cord. They have a silicone gasket that sits outside the eye socket, which most young swimmers find the most comfortable. Once adjusted correctly we had no issues with leaking. They are advertised as non-fogging but we all know that does not exist. I do like that these have uv protection but it isn't labeled as to what amount. Made in Thailand.

Youth sized!

I didn't see in the fine print that these goggles are meant for children from 8-12. The goggles are fine, good for competitive swimmers in that age range, but I took off a star for not putting the word "junior" or "youth" in the product title. My 11-year-old can wear them, so I can verify that they fit that age range, but these are not comfortable for a casual swimmer like her. My adult son, who is a competitive swimmer, can't wear these because they are too small. So they're good goggles, as long as you know what you're getting.

Good Sunny-Day Goggles

These may not be my favorite pair of goggles, but they perform well enough for a workout. They are best for use on a bright, sunny day because they're rather dark. I took these to a partly shady swimming hole and couldn't see at all underwater, which was a little creepy. But on those bright, sunny midday workouts, this is the pair I turn to.

My children are not professional swimmers but really enjoy these goggles in the pool. They fit closer around their eyes and are less uncomfortable for all day wear. 4stars because I found it annoying to adjust the, I have had easily adjustable goggles from other places.

Good Competitive Goggles For Ages 8 To 12

We have three avid youth swimmers in our household, all under the age of twelve. They like this style goggle for their competitive swim meets—they’re comfortable, easy to adjust (and include interchangeable nose pieces) for a good fit, and don't leak. That’s all we ask for, and these deliver.

Fits great on many heads

I have shared this with other swimmers at my house - and we can each wear it comfortably. Very pleased to be able to cover my eye without fog, keeping the chlorine out, and me being able to see where I am going!
