Really Nice...

We needed to replace two existing ceiling fans and install a third in a new location. We installed three Fanimation Windpointe ceiling fans. All came out of the box without difficulty and unblemished. There were no difficulties installing the two replacement units and mounting the third in a new location went off without a hitch. The units look nice and are well finished. They are pleasantly quiet in operation (no hums or rattles). All in all a very satisfactory purchase and would purchase again in future.

Gentle as a summer breeze..still moves lots of air.

This is a great looking fan as well as very functional. I was hesitant to buy real palm leaf blades, I found the system used by Fanimation to reinforce the blade edges with thin bamboo makes them very strong. The brackets used to hold the fan blades use a sandwich technique and also effectively reinforce the blades. Gentle as a summer breeze.... My feeling is the ridges and folds occurring naturally in the palm leaf blades cause the air flow to be slightly disrupted creating a breeze like effect rather than a direct air blast effect created by standard smooth blades. Some reviewers state the air movement seems less than a traditional bladed fan, I think this is why you feel less air. My experience is this fan moves plenty of air.

LOOKS GREAT....DOESN'T WORK

I thought carefully before spending the extra money on this Fanimation fan, rod and light kit. Being a senior and a widow, I hired an electrician to hang the fan and add the rod and light kit. When it was all done it looked great, the light worked but the fan was faulty...we could hear the motor making a slight sound but no movement of the blades, and the electricians checked it all and decided it was faulty. Now I had to spend time on Amazon support (twice as they ordered the incorrect item) and in the end I have to pay the electricians to come back and take down the faulty fan and hang the replacement and then ship back the first fan...let's hope the new one works.....I'm not a happy camper...when you spend this much on a fan you expect it to work and not to have to pay the electricians TWICE!!!!! The 2 stars were for the look of the fan which is lovely but what good is it if it doesn't work....

Install easily and looks great!

This is such a pretty tropical looking fan. Bought it for a kids room and it looks terrific. Will go well with the elephant wallpaper! I bought it without the light kit so it looks more authentic. The fan blades are lightweight and easy to assemble onto the fan more It does not come with a remote and has to be hard wired with a switch on the wall.

The product details say it comes with light, they don’t send it and tell you it’s amazons fault for making the details wrong????

I love it!

I wanted a fan that would work well with my beach/ocean decor. This fan is perfect with the bamboo blades. You need to be careful handling the blades when you assemble the fan but the look is worth the care we had to take. I have gotten several compliments on the style and the amount of air flow is perfect for us.

The BEST of five

Easy installation, beautiful design and very quiet. We have five ceiling fans in our home and this is by far the nicest and circulates the air better than any of the others. I will buy a Fanimation ceiling fan again.

Yes, this is the fan for me!

This fan is really nice looking and quiet too. At first it made a rustling sound and I thought, "Oh, dear"! But, my husband solved it by reversing the direction of the blades and now it is as quiet as can be.
