Super lightweight; all size smalls flawed

Exofficio has done a fairly good job of replacing their dry flylite shirt with this lightscape shirt. That is the obvious intention. The cut is more tailored in the lightscape, not as boxy as the old dry flylite shirt. The fabric is identical and the best available in my opinion. 73% nylon keeps the odors down while 27% polyester softens the shirt. Extremely lightweight. I hike a lot in desert environments and I have used the white dry flylite shirts exclusively for years. I bought white once again and this time I was able to wear the small because of the improved tailoring. However, exofficio should never have accepted shipment of their size small white shirts because there is a glaring sewing error or perhaps it was an error made in the cutting of the front panels of the shirt. Take a close look at the model wearing the white shirt. She is wearing a small and you can see that the pockets are off, particularly at the bottom seam of the breast pocket. This is not true for the white medium size shirt. I ordered that one also to compare sizes and the sewing / cutting was correct on those. This is an obvious quality control issue and almost made me decide to go with the medium size. Despite the quality control issue, I decided on the small because whoever designs these shirts at exofficio has a much more skewed waist to hip ratio than I do. The medium stands out from my body at the hips even though it measures almost the same as the small in the shoulders and bust area. My other comment concerns the new lower pocket in this shirt. This is just a really stupid idea. The pocket is not accessible at all when the shirt is used for hiking. Your backpack will be in your way. Added weight for an absurd feature. All that said, thanks to exofficio for keeping this fabulous fabric on the hiking shirt market because it is truly the coolest, lightest weight shirt available.

Fabulous travel shirt

I love this shirt! Bought it for an upcoming 3-week trip to Europe and test-drove it on a summer weekend hiking in Yosemite. It looks nice enough for a restaurant dinner even after 15 miles of trail and multiple dips in the river. I washed it in the shower with shampoo the first night, hung it on my hostel bedpost to dry, and it was as neat, presentable, and odor-free the next morning as when brand new. Didn't snag on bushes while hiking and was comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. It isn't totally opaque, so be careful what you wear underneath. I usually wear a large to XL, bought the XL, and it fits perfectly, without the sleeves being too long as is sometimes the case. The breast pocket is a little odd, but the zippered side pocket is great for small items.

Lightweight, stylish trim fit

Good neutral color that I hope to take on safari next year if international travel opens up. Own two other EO Lightscape shirts in different colors. Great summer and travel shirts. Use for everything from hiking to dinners. Can be handwashed and dries in hours.

Perfect for summer travel

This ExOfficio shirt was a life saver on a recent three week trip. I got the white which was very versatile but also thinner than the other colored version. Liked: Built in Sun Protection, perfect for hot summer months Zippered extra pockets in the shirt ideal when traveling Flexible long sleeves that can also be rolled up with a tab Shorter collar = neater appearance Easily washed in the sink Quickly dried for the next day Disliked: The white fabric was noticeably thinner.

Product Damaged Upon Arrival

Shirt feels comfortable and fits well.(M) Good design and size for layering and travel. ( Generally order S...however M is perfect for layering when traveling. ) Good price if product was in 'as described' condition. Unfortunately upon arrival it was missing a wrist button hole. Good Price = kept shirt.

Skip this shirt!

Very unhappy with this shirt. The quality of Ex-officio has declined. I have 8 other Ex-Officio shirts that I love. There is only one hidden chest pocket resulting in one side of the shirt being more see through than the other. A quality shirt would not have skimped on the fabric required to balance the shirt. This was also done on the hidden hem pocket as well. As the material is thin, you can easily see through. The shirt was also obviously a return as it came poorly packaged and folded with one sleeve rolled up and buttoned. It also terribly wrinkled. The tailoring is also not roomy enough for an active wear shirt. Size up at least one maybe two sizes when purchasing. Would not recommend purchasing this shirt.

Do not put sunscreen on when you wear the blouse...

I like the feel of it and the sun protection. However, when I wear it and I have put sunscreen on the white blouse gets all yellow. Not sure why. I am using Ombrelle #45
