Young kids will love it
First you need to assemble the board full of colorful plastic parts, which was a little confusing but all eventually came together. The drawback is that you can't (and don't really want to) disassemble it all to fit back into the box for storage, so you need to have another space available in which to keep it. Once put together, everything works well so long as it's on a level surface that will allow the little metal ball to roll easily through the course and end up dropping the trap on a mouse. The young kids (ages 4 and 7) like collecting the wedges of cheese to make their wheel, but what they love the most is sending someone's mouse to the trap and then watching the metal marble make its way through the maze and then drop the trap over the mouse. This is not so much fun for adults, other than getting a kick out of watching the young ones have fun. There's no real strategy or challenge involved to keep adults interested. You roll the dice, move that many spaces, and do what that space says or collect a piece of cheese - that's basically it. The game cost just over $15, which is a decent price for a game these days, but I don't think that I would have bought it if I had known about its assembly or game play beforehand. But the kids really do like it. So if you have enough young ones in your family to play, go for it. But if adults have to play so there are enough game players, you may want to think twice - instead buy "Taco vs. Burrito" (invented by a 7-year-old!) for a few bucks more and have a great game that both young and old will thoroughly enjoy!

nice improvements to the old game in some ways, but the new rules are not so great.
I loved this game as a kid, and this has some nice improvements like the cool lever that pulls the first ball up to the tub instead of just triggering another ball balanced on top. The missing stop sign with the rubber band you used to pull back and let go was a bummer. Also the new rules and game board layout in a few ways are interesting (like the cut through tunnels and stealing cheese) but mostly doesn't work well, especially the action of moving the person's mouse under the net just to set it off to catch them is lame. The old game board ended with the mice going in circles under the net so there was all this tension about when it might get set off and if you would be under it. That is totally missing from this new addition.

Grandson loves it!!
My kids loved this game when they were young. I lived it when I was young. So I had to get it for my 4 year old grandson. 3rd generation to love this game!!

Great game!
Very fun game! I pkayed this as a child and happy to share with my daughter. It does have a few quirks with fitment of the pieces to the board and the trap doesn't always work fully but if you helpmit along it works just fine. Would definitely recommend.
