Amazing for your skin

Dove never disappoints. This product feels so wonderful on your skin especially in the morning. This was a great price and I recommend this product.

Lavender is Back

Since Covid it has been difficult to find the Lavender Scented Dove Body Scrub. This product has a different name but feels the same as my older one. Lovely, light lavender scent and not too abrasive. Highly recommended.

Contradictory instructions--good results

What is a "body polish"? According to Amazon's description, this body polish "smooths and refines dry skin and infuses moisture while you sleep". Sounds like a night cream. Elsewhere, Amazon's site says that it is "infused with Retinol serum and exfoliants" and the product label refers to it as a retinol serum. So, it's a serum. However, in the description of how to use it, the site suggests running it on during a shower and waiting a minute before rinsing it off. So, the mystery is how a product you wash off after a minute is able to infuse "moisture while you sleep." And why is there retinol serum in a body scrub? The product label says it has "plant based cleaners" but the abrasive material is probably titanium dioxide--which is not in plants. Not to mention that I shower in the morning. So, whatever it does do, isn't going to happen at night. I think that "night recovery" is the name of a series of products that Dove hopes you buy together. But basically this product is supposed to be a body scrub. It contains something that is mildly abrasive on my face. It works ok when used this way. Since it has retinol and other ingredients that need to be left on to be absorbed, I have also used it as a night cream. It works ok like this. The product seems to be an everything cream that can be used in every way. I just wish the description on the site and on the product actually made sense.

Gentle body scrub that softens the skin

This purple scrub comes in a 3-pack. It has a nice scent and gritty, almost sandy feel that helps to exfoliate the skin. It’s not super thick and spreads easily. I have used this before and during a shower. I prefer right before a shower because I find I can exfoliate better because it’s less slippery. It also prevents the shower water from getting into the container since you need to use your fingers to scoop it out. I might be better if this came in a squeeze tube. After using this, I have noticed my skin does feels softer and smoother.

For People Who Shower At Night

It took a while for me to review this product since I am normally an evening bath person. However, I have used this several times over the last several weeks and find that my skin does feel soft. It is nice to go to sleep with soft feeling skin. Since this is a multi-pack, I put one in our guest bathroom so evening shower people can use it as well. A little goes a long way for me.

Fast Way to Smooth Skin

This body polish has the wonderful, signature, scent of Dove products. The consistency is thinner and spreads easily on the skin. I found that it immediately makes my skin feel softer and smoother. It's listed as a night recovery polish but I feel it can be used day or night. So sometimes in the morning I follow this polish with a thick moisturizer to super-hydrate my skin and feel more confident and ready to tackle the day. Retinol is one of the superstar ingredients that has wonderful skin-boosting qualities to help make skin smoother and brighter. The product listing Q&A page refers to Vitamin C and Moringa oil but these are not ingredients that are included in this body polish so I feel like that could be clarified better since they may be referring to all their body polishes in general and not just this one. I like that this comes in a pack of three which is especially great for households where multiple people will want to use it, because you don't really want different people dipping their fingers into the same jar. I highly recommend this body polish for some serious exfoliating and skin pampering.

Moisturizing and exfoliating

I really really really want to love this product, but I think I just like it. I am a night showered so I like the idea of exfoliating and moisturizing my skin before bed. That being said, I had the packaging. The jar is large and the space in my shower is limited. Additionally it is impossible to open the jar, get product out, and recluse the jar without getting water int he jar. The texture is interesting. It's somewhere between a whip and and a cream, but has some serious grit to it. Like can feel like rubbing sand on your body to the point that I think it could be irritating to the skin. I will say that once I rinse it off my skin feels amazing and I have noticed a lessening in my need to immediately moisturize fully after I shower.

Amazing scent, great expholition and hydration

I love this product! The consistency is like whipped foam. You don't need a ton of it either so it is lasting a while. It has exfoliation properties, but it is not too gritty. I loved using this under my armpits to scrub away deodorant. After my shower, I decided to not reapply deodorant and I smelled amazing even at the end of the day the following day. I am so sensitive to smells especially floral smells and this doesn't bother me at all. It is not too strong but you can smell it on your skin after you dry off. Highly recommend!
