Good but not great

I got this as a replacement for my 26-year old Delta shower faucet that started leaking. A representative from Delta told me I needed to spend an extra $85 to get a replacement cartridge because the one included in this trim set wouldn't retro fit my older installation. After doing that I watched a few YouTube videos about how to install the faucet. Seemed pretty simple. The problem I found was the parts they used in the videos and the parts shown in the really bad instruction manual featured different parts than what were in my trim set. This made installation much more difficult than it should have been, trying to figure how these different parts fit together. After several hours of trial and error, I got everything working. However, I found the levers to adjust the volume and temperature are very stiff, requiring a bit of effort to adjust. A neighbor of mine who does occasional plumbing checked the fit and said, "This is within tolerance." So, apparently Delta is OK with a faucet that moves stiffly. For $185 I found this "tolerance" to be barely acceptable. All in all, the faucet looks nice and works as expected. But not sure I'd buy this model again.

Takes the guesswork out of water temp adjustment

Turn the water on. Adjust the temperature. Turn the water off when you’re done showering. Next time the water will automatically be adjusted to the same temperature. That’s all you have to do. Wonderful invention.

Great Looking

After we had the valve and tile was installed I installed the trim kit myself. The instructions that came with the kit didn't tell me everything I needed to know about adjusting the internal water temp control so I went to YouTube and found what I needed to know. Works terrific.

Works very well

This is a much better design than most other shower faucets that have one control. You set the temperature adjustment once, and the water comes out at the same temperature every single time. The main pressure handle is metal, the temperature adjustment knob is plastic. From my research, they are made of plastic on all similar products. It's not an issue, because you rarely need to adjust the temperature. Overall, it works exactly as it is supposed to. I hope it lasts.

You will have to manually adjust it from the factory setting to get anything more than a luke warm shower.

Three things: 1- everything is metal, except the temperature knob. It's painted plastic to look like everything else. This is cheap. 2- it is nice to never have to adjust the temperature, day to day, once you have it set where you like it. 3- Like others have said, the product comes set, as a result of lawyers, to barely give you enough hot water. So, in order to make this product any good at all, you have to manually re-position the internal gearing stops (can be a bit like a rubics cube) to allow enough travel in the temp lever to actually give you a hot enough shower. Ironically (or maybe not), so many people complain about this, that Delta has a support video on their website telling you how to do this.

Very nice!

I really like this shower trim kit. Love the way I can adjust the water volume separate from the temperature. Adjustments are made easily and smoothly. And their not to sensitive. Perfect!
