Home improvement store quality with an Amazon pricetag

This unit is in brushed gold and looks great on my in the process of being remodeled downstairs bathroom. I wanted a brushed gold one to match the fixtures on our new vanity and it was difficult to find just the right color. The material of the bars is great quality and feels very sturdy. The small tube that the toilet paper itself sits on is plastic and the gold isn't a perfect match to the side bars, but frankly, I think it's usually plastic and if someone really wants to nitpick colors, then get a life. I was going to buy one at a big home improvement store but they didn't have any in stock in the store and Amazon could get me one sooner, for less money and needless to say I'm glad I did. I used pre-existing wall anchors so I didn't have to drill anything, so I can't speak to the ease of the directions, but it's a great little TP holder. Overall, I’d recommend buying some different hardware depending on your application. It comes with a template which made installing level achievable and easy.

The gold is peeling off.

After only one month of use the gold started peeling off. Looked great when we first installed it. Very sturdy & pretty. But that only lasted about a month. The gold is peeling off. Looks ugly. But still sturdy.

One year later finish is wearing off

The spring plastic roll holder feels cheap and the metal finish on the side mounts is failing after one year. Spend a little more for a quality product.
