Very strong and solid brass

It's fine, if you overlook that it's crooked.

The grate is SOLID! Heavy and a very nice chrome finish. The grates are domed, they come out about half an inch - worth knowing if you'll be using it on the floor. The parts inside are plastic but sure they work fine. What I noticable is the grates are crooked, slanted instead of at right angles. Mounted out of sight, behind furniture or low on a wall that would be okay but on a floor in plain sight it, it would be easily spotted.

Too nice to find in big box stores - probably because the cost is so high. Really solid and great looking.

Beautiful register covers...

I was a bit skeptical about these as teh price was substantially lower than some other similar items I previewed. I purchased them to replace brass covers as most everything in our house is stainless or chrome. These look great and are easy to install and clean. The were a great deal and were of better quality than I anticipated.

High quality product

I've bought a number of vent covers from my local big box store. They are all made of thin, stamped sheet metal and plastic, and they break very easily. This cover is VERY solid and looks great! It's worth a few extra bucks for a vent that won't fall apart.

High-end and top quality but a bit overpriced

These are chrome-plated cast brass grates. The chrome is as good as it gets, similar in quality to a high-end cast brass tap. These grates are heavy and substantial and stay in place. The guts however are fairly thin ABS and it requires considerable effort to slide the mechanism to close or open the vent - more effort than I would like, but this is the requirement for a tight seal. Still, this is a potential breakage area - the tab could be forced too hard and could break off the mechanism. $35 is 2-3 times the price of a chrome-plated stamped steel grate, but the aesthetic difference was worth the price to me for a high-end bath reno. The appearance of this grate is a good finishing touch for a part that is often left looking basic and ugly.

Beautiful registers!

Very sturdy with a beautiful smooth chrome finish on the thick brass grille. So easy to clean! The air control part is plastic, but seems very durable and works great. These registers even have an air filter attachment available for them. I bought two to check them out and now I want to replace every one in my house with these! Well worth the price and made in Canada too.

Excellent quality

Well worth the money, it has a nice weight to it. I thought it was a bit pricy and wasn't sure how the quality would be but definitely pleased with the quality. It is solid and looks beautiful.

Looks great, feels solid. Quality piece

Looks great, "jewelry" for the bathroom floor. Kinda spendy, but the options for chrome registers are very limited. Happy with the purchase though. I wasn't expecting quite the raised curve profile but I don't mind it.
