Decorative and functional!
We used these vents to cover holes in the ceiling of our wine room after removing our recessed lighting fixtures that were leaking due to too much heat condensation. We needed to maintain air circulation up into the ceiling insulation so we did not want to close up the holes. We replaced the room lighting with a central fixture and used the vents to cover the two remaining holes. They are very decorative, match the design of the central lighting fixture and work great! Our wine room is working great now :)

Bigger than 14 x 6
My only complaint is that this vent cover is much bigger than 14 x 6. It's roughly 15.5 x 7.5. The quality seems good, but since it's not stainless steel it will take a while to see if it rusts.

Beautifully but there is a flawed design
These look fantastic but the only concern I have is the plastic vent closing… we will see how long it last. My roomba shuts them every-time it goes over it. So every morning I have to walk around and make sure the vents are open, which is inconvenient. I’d suggest they make a sturdier clip to open and shut the vents.

Classy, sturdy
I was looking for a very particular size to be able to cover the two holes in a cinderblock wall (see image), as I have small dogs I wanted to be sure they could not squeeze through. And I was looking for something modern, tasteful, and sturdy. This product is definitely all of those things. Strong, well-machined, nice finish, and a very cool design. Side note: if, for some reason, you are looking to do what I have done, and mount this flush against a wall, there are four tabs that stick out the backside for mounting that you will have to cut off to do this. The material is pretty strong, so you will actually need some metal snips or spend a few minutes with a hacksaw. It’s not very much material to cut.

Adequate & affordable
Three of these cost what one of every similar thing I found online cost, so I thought I'd give it a shot. They're... okay? Pretend this is three and a half stars. I have a mix of brass and brushed nickel in my house and previous reviewers said these weren't super brassy, so I figured the color would be pretty optimal, but boy they were noooot kidding - it's a gray enough toned metal that the accompanying brass screws look all wrong, honestly. The outside dimensions are also less generous than on my standard old Hart & Cooley returns, so if like me you have a house built by moderately incomplete trade students and the cutouts in your drywall are a little wobbly, know that these don't give you much room for error. I really wish they were just a smudge bigger to cover a few more sins. Ultimately I'm going to keep them, because my upstairs registers are awfully prominent to have be the gross dingy things that these are replacing, but I was really excited about these and in action they're sort of meh. May paint them to match the wall or something since the color is blech anyway. At least they're a good deal.

Add some filter media to hide duct-work
This is a relatively thin metal grill that looks fine when installed as long as it isn't bent by treating it too roughly or tightening the screws too tightly. Seeing through it into the ducting is a problem but that can be solved by placing some black filter media behind the grill. I used this product: B07X4B7537 cut to fit. It hides the area behind the grill perfectly and it filters the air.

Use for walls not floors.
Not for floor registers as it will cave in if someone we to step on it. It doesn't have a reinforced frame. Its fine for wall vents.
