Easy to Install!

Overall it’s an easy installation. however you will find running the cable to the battery a little tricky but not super hard if you are resourceful.

Mostly easy to install, except the 12V battery cable

I got this for a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. The connections to the existing brake light connectors was easy and the instructions were very clear. Mounting the controller was also easy and it is nice that this kit comes with everything you need. The only weird thing was the battery connections wire. If I ran it through the passenger cabin from the trunk area to the front, there was no clear place to get a wire into the engine compartment without a lot of work. Fortunately I was able to poke it through a rubber grommet in the rear compartment and run it under the car to the battery. There were enough zip ties included to secure the cable from the rear to the front adequately, but I would recommend adding a few additional zip ties just to be sure. The controller worked perfectly when I connected it to my trailer and despite the extra work in getting it installed, I am quite happy with the results.

Works great

Works exactly as I would've hoped, installation was a bit hard, the interior panels in the trunk had to be removed, and I had to come up with my own power source in the trunk for the wires, it would've been very hard to get a power wire from the trunk to the battery like the instructions say. I had no plans of drilling holes in the car. Overall works great to run the lights for our jetski trailer

Complicated Install

Makes you run a power wire from the battery all the way to the back of the vehicle for power, shouldn't be a need for this. Should draw power from the tail lights you splice into

Plug and play EXCEPT for the wire to the battery.

As noted in other reviews, the instruction don't provide anything for running the power cable to the battery, which take twice the time as all the rest of the attachments, accomplished in 45 minutes. This is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. It would have been much worse if I wasnt able to jack the car up (2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport). I looked at the possibility of running under the base boards, but that looked like even more work and I could locate a place under the dash to easily run the wire.

Works great for my 14’ Lancer

Installed it in a rush before a trip. Took 30 minutes to install, instructions are a bit too generic because my Lancer had the plugs on the right and left side instead of only on the left side. You do not need to remove the taillight assembly on these car, skip this step on a Lancer. Double sided tape was so old it was not sticky anymore. All over I like it because it was easy to install. I decided to wire the battery wire to a cigarette plug instead of trough the engine bay and to the battery directly. Con’s: Sticky tape was bad, wrong instruction for a lancer, routing the batt wire will be a pain trough the firewall.

Works great, easy install besides running a power wire from the battery

Works flawlessly, the install is simple and easy with the exception of running a power wire from the battery. Would have preferred not to have to run power from the battery but it is what it is.

great product

works on my 2015 RVR, easy to connect, everything included :) the only downside, is to run a Power from the battery to the trunk. installation time, approx 45 mins.
