Works perfect
Not drilling. Just plug and go. Well, it took some time because we had to bring the wire under the car and open some panels in the trunk but the connections were easy.

Fair value but not plug and play as the OEM Nissan kit is
I did a lot of research before deciding to purchase this Curt kit for my 2019 Rogue and I want to pass on what I have learned so that others can make an informed decision. This kit is 1/3 the cost of the OEM Trailer hitch wiring kit from Nissan parts. That is really its only advantage. It is not totally plug and play like it is advertised to be. None of these after market kits are truly plug and play because they do not provide a connector to get the needed 12V power from the factory wiring harness connector like the OEM Nissan provides. This means you must run the power wire underneath the car to the engine compartment being careful not to install it where it is subjected to exhaust heat. Unless you are nimble, it will be difficult to get underneath the car to properly route the wire. Really the car must be raised to do this. Of course you can get inventive and run the power line through the interior. There are two alternatives to running the power line to the battery in the engine compartment. The first is to use a standard 12V 6 foot, 16 AWG male plug to the accessory power socket in the rear cargo bay which will cost under $10 and available at Amazon. After it is connected to the converter hot and ground using some butt connectors, just plug it in when it is needed. Typical trailer lights will draw a max of around 10A so make sure you have a 15A fuse in the line of your plug if it does not have one built in. The second is to use the provided plug on the Nissan wiring harness that is close to the driver side tail lamp and is visible through the access panel where the jack is stored. It has two wires, blue and beige. The beige is hot and the blue is ground. Others have reported the opposite and that is not correct. Also, others have reported that they needed to install a 30A fuse in the front most fuse panel in the engine compartment underneath the air intake. I went through the hassle of doing this and found that the fuse was already installed in my 2019 Rogue, so do this step after you have it wired and want to test it. Because this Curt aftermarket kit does not provide a plug and play connector for power, you have to get a little inventive. Strip the black power wire insulation a little bit more and solder on a spade electrical connector. You will then slot this into the grey/beige wire side of the provided factory connector. I then put some silicone caulk around it to make sure it does not come out. Instead of putting the white ground connector into the blue wire slot (ground) on the plug, I just fastened it to the installed factory ground screw which is used for multiple grounds in that area. If you do not have a trailer to make sure it all works before you button it up, purchase a CURT 58260 Vehicle Socket Tester. Everyone makes it sound like a piece of cake to install this kit. I did not find that to be the case. The side panels were tough to get out without breaking the plastic clips and I had some trim tools to use and know how to do this. I also found unplugging the connectors was not easy because it was not intuitive on how to get them apart due to their recessed location and a small locking tab that must be pressed. Removing the panels completely would have made that easier for me, but none of the instructional videos said that would be needed. Lastly don't bother using the provided double sided tape provided to sevure the converter. It will not hold. Either get some high quality 3M tape or just use zip ties to secure it to the wiring harness like I did. Update- some have commented that the Nissan Rogue remote foot controlled tailgate no longer works with a hitch while some say it does by moving your foot so that it is not in the center under the receiver. Some say you need to get an modification to the ECU. I want to clarify this because where you kick makes all the difference in whether it will work. If you kick close to the center of the bumper as implied, it has always been erratic. With the hitch on, I could not get the tailgate to work at all kicking center or just off center around the receiver. However kicking under one of the two sensors on either side of the center is where you need to kick. These sensors can be readily seen on the flat rear part of the bumper and just line your foot up with one of them and the tailgate will operate every time. As it turns out the sensors are not underneath the bumper as I, and many believed. They are on the flat vertical part of the bumper facing rear instead of down.

Good Product
Got this for a 2019 Nissan Rogue. The product is great gave it 4 stars only because of installation. Although not hard to install it does take time and can be frustrating. Instructions and YouTube videos don’t match what I seen removing interior trim so it could lead to some frustration.

Easy to install but takes some time to route wiring
Very easy to installation after watching the YouTube video. Took roughly 2.5 hours to install with most of that time spent under the vehicle routing the wire to the battery. The plug and play wire connectors were simple enough and would recommend to others.

Time consuming but worth it.
Trailer lights work thanks to this product. I just wish I knew ahead of time that I didn’t have to run the power wire to the battery like the instructions said. That took a lot longer than installation should have and it was a pain. I wasn’t sure if it would work so I just did what the instructions told me to do so that way I knew it would work. That alone is a huge inconvenience in itself. Other than that, I have no complaints. Aside from spending most of your time removing plastic trim and running the wire to the battery, it was a simple install. Another thing they mention is that you only need to pull the trim back a little bit but your best bet is to pull the entire trim off of both passenger and driver side so you can efficiently reach the taillight housing connectors or your wrists and arms will be squeezed from the tight space between the plastic trim.. You don’t need to have much knowledge in electrical wiring to be able to figure the installation out considering you just have to plug in the connectors in the taillight housing where they go. It’s pretty user friendly. I definitely recommend this wiring harness kit.

Only thing that took 1 star was installation instructions, otherwise this would have been a 5 star product
I got this for a Nissan Rogue 2016 (same install for 14-16) and the package contains everything you need for installation. It is also very easy to connect to the existing rear light connectors and explains how to remove the car panels to access the wires. The instructions included are extremely vague and you have to fill in the blanks... Also there's a video (a little more clarity there) on you tube. Just type the connector assy part number and it comes up. Two corrections to the instructions and video: 1.- they don't explain which connector goes to which side of the car.. The connector with the red wires goes to the driver side. The connector with the green wire goes to the passenger side. 2.- (the biggest thing) IGNORE the advise to run the included power wire down the gromet, under the car, into the hood and clamp to the battery... INSTEAD, There is an existing connector for constant power meant to be used by the dealer to install the tow hitch option. It's a small white connector with a blue and grey wire (two wires only) it's powered by the fuse location called "DEALER OPT" for which you have to add a 10 amp fuse (even though the fuse box says it's a 30 amp location). This connector is located behind the rear panel you have removed already on the driver side and taped to itself I would say half way up and about middle of the panel. The blue wire is not connected to anything. The grey wire is powered by the dealer opt fuse. Connect your power wire there instead and save the hassle of going under the car and in the engine compartment. Other than that installation is super easy provided you have a few tools to take the panels off and are careful not to put marks on the plastic parts.

Went on without a hitch ????
I have no automotive experience and I could say that with the installation videos available online and the comments here, this was easy peesy. Get yourself a cheap trim removal kit on amazon and terminal crimper. Like other comments have mentioned, Nissan most likely has already prewired the car to make it hitch ready. The wires are light brown and blue on the driver side and come with a connector attached. All I did was crimp a male spade terminal and plug it into the connector that is already there. The rest is plug and play!

Works well
Installed easily on my 2011 Nissan Rogue SV and appears to work well. The written instructions were lean, so vehicle specific installation videos from both Curt and Etrailer helped greatly. On my vehicle at least, it wasn't necessary to run a power lead up to the battery, as the car already was prewired. Just popped a 10 amp fuse in the engine compartment fuse holder (slot marked trailer) and tapped into the feed at the rear of the car.

Item is as described
This item fit the car perfectly and works great. It takes a bit to install it which is the only setback

So thankful for others reviews!
Worth checking out if you're rogue is prewired! As seen in the photo [drivers side in behind the panel (can reach this from the compartment door that opens just for checking - look top right)], another review told me to look for this and I am so THANKFUL! All I needed was to put a 10amp fuse in the dealer opt spot under the hood (friendly mechanic at Nissan verified this for me too) and the brown wire had power! All I needed to do was connect the black wire to it. Saved so much hassle of trying to run a wire to the engine battery! Product installed so easily - great YouTube videos by CURT for the installation of their products!
