Noises

Dislike: noise/sounds and My Like: adding aroma oil my favorite, clears up my congestion, night light nice touch. I would not gift and don’t recommend but priced okay. If the noise don’t bother you; you will like it. Hard to fall asleep with the noise but once I’m asleep it’s a deep sleep feels good and refreshed in morning. Cleaning decent.

Very nice machine

This is very nice. I have it in my son’s bedroom and it’s very quiet and runs for about 4 nights without needing a refill. We use eucalyptus oil for his nasal allergies. So far so good.

Perfect for our children’s bedrooms or even as a household aromatizer. Love that the lights can function without the humidifier for when we simply need a nightlight for our kids but can also use the humidifier function and add essential oils.....especially during flu season.

Save your money!! Bought this for my baby’s nursery and it molded over within a couple months. No easy way to clean. Throwing out and buying a different one. Do not recommend!!

Runs quietly. Can use LED lighting without running diffuser. Lasts overnight (plus more). Excellent aroma diffuser.

This review is for the all white humidifier. The unit has two parts, the lower section which contains the electronics and the diffuser, and the upper section which contains the tank and the vapor chimney. To use, take the upper section, remove the cap and fill the tank with water, adding a few drops of essential oil if desired. Replace the cap and place the upper section on the base. Then tap the power button once for LO, twice for HI, and there's a quiet stream of vapor generated. This is too small a device to humidify a room significantly, and overnight use in a 10'x15' room did not result in a change of the measured ambient humidity. However, it works wonderfully as an aroma diffuser. The device is almost silent. It runs without any lighting except for a soft blue glow from the power button. There is built-in LED lighting which can be turned on to one of two settings - cycling colors, or single color (you can pick which color by waiting for it during the cycle). The LED lighting is pretty bright: too much for a dark bedroom, and easily visible in even a bright room. What I found particularly nice is that the lighting can be utilized even without turning on the diffuser. The entire package comes with a "bonus" 10-issue subscription to Martha Stewart Living magazine (or you can request $6 back with a copy of your receipt). As usual for humidifiers, it's important to clean the unit with diluted vinegar at least weekly. Here's where we run into a little issue. The way this unit is configured, there's no way to scrub the tank. You can pour liquids into it or out of it, but you can't get in there with a sponge and clean it up. That's different from, say, the Viva Humidifier/Diffuser, where the tank is an open area on the base so you can clean it up directly. The advantage is to the Crane for running longer (same size units, but the Viva runs out overnight, while the Crane can run for up to 17 hours at the LO setting), but to the Viva for easy cleanup. If you are diligent about rinsing the tank out with dilute vinegar every week, you shouldn't have an issue. If you are likely to clean it less frequently, you may want to go with an open tank model instead.

Favorite humidifier I own

I've tried about five different humidifiers and this is by far my favorite. It works well and I can definitely tell the difference in my allergies. I usually keep it on the low setting, instead of the high, and it lasts for days at this setting. It can be a bit of a pain to clean but it's something I'm willing to put up with since I don't think there's really an easy humidifier to clean. The color-changing is a nice feature and can be turned off as well. It cycles through them and can also be stopped on a specific color if wanted. I keep this in my bedroom and have the front facing away from my bed as the on light is rather bright in the dark. I've been using this for about a year now and it still works like a champ. Love it!
