In between sizes, go up a 1/2 size

I have never owned a pair of Columbia shoes so I had no idea if I needed a 7 or a 7.5. I typically wear either a 7N or a 7.5N. So I knew they would be wide and went with the 7. Unfortunately, in Columbia shoes I need the 7.5. I think buying shoes online is one of the more difficult items to get the fit right. I like the style and sole. In Easy Spirit sneakers I wear 7N but in Propet sandals I wear 7.5N. So it comes down to the brand. If you are in between sizes go up a 1/2 size and these should fit. I am returning them because of the fit and I wanted them for my trip in 2 days.

Comfortable light hikers

These Columbia hikers are lightweight, and provide a nice amount of room in the toe box. After suffering blisters twice with my beloved trail shoes while hiking soft, sandy trails I ordered these hikers to give my toes a bit more room. Today’s 6-mile hike produced no blisters so I’m very happy with them. This shoe sits between trail shoes and hiking boots and was a good choice for me. Fits true to size with a little wider toe box than a trail shoe.

Comfortable shoe with right size

Had to buy wide and 1/2 size larger than normal for perfect fit. Comfortable shoe with right size. I remove stock insert and use Protalus inserts. Columbia women's running and trail and walking shoes used to be the best on the market. Please Bring back all of your best sellers in standard USA shoe sizes, especially the Columbia Switchback 2 Low Women's Gray/Purple Trail Running Shoes Sz 9 Omni-Tech sole.

The shoes are comfortable, and look nice on.

I used the shoe for every day life. They fit well and look nice on your feet. They give more support than tennis shoes.

Nice hiking shoes but fit can be tricky

I wear 7/M and the best shoe brands for me are Under Armour and Addidas which are on the narrower side of M. This Columbia shoe is more on the wider side which might be ok if you wear heavy socks but my foot was not stable in this shoe. The Columbia Vitesse OutDry, by contrast, is a good fit for me. Size aside, it's a well-constructed shoe and comfortably padded.

Beautiful shoe, but I had a problem with fit.

Normally wear Woman's 7W, if wide fit is unavailable, 8.5 Reg. The 7W fit a little small, so I reordered a 7.5W. Length was perfect on these, but the toe-box on the left shoe was more shallow than the right. That is not a normal fit problem for me as my right foot is slightly larger than my left. Because it's likely that the replacement would have been cut the same, I just ordered a 1/2 size larger. I can always add an insole. I walk every day, and am sooo looking forward to a pair that I can wear. These are wonderful shoes and I would recommend them to anyone. Columbia isn't a brand that the small city nearby carries. Fortunately, there's Amazon ! In talking to a neighbour recently, he was lamenting not being able to get Columbia athletic shoes here. Now he knows where to get them ,':*} UPDATE - The size 8W was waay too long for my feet, so I returned it. This is frustrating, I really like these shoes

Perfect for travelling

Great shoe. Not as lightweight as I’d imagined (not that they’re heavy) but ideal for wearing on trips abroad. Very comfy. Fit true to size, although, if you like wearing a REALLY thick sock, you may want to try a half size larger. Really happy with them.

A little narrow

I've had the older version of these for years and they've served me well. I bought these and didn't bother breaking them in this winter because I found them narrow even though they said wide. I'll work on breaking them in though and hope they do me for years like the older ones.

Well worth the price

I love this shoe. Very very comfortable. Im between 9.5 and 10, I took size 10 M and it's perfect for a foot that isn't wide. Solid yet flexible.
