Awesome and well-deserved reputation

I got this shirt to protect myself during 15-20 mile hikes where I'd be exposed to the sun all day. I sweat like a fat man, so a breathable shirt was a must. This shirt was comfortable and cool and allowed a full range of motion (which larger guys sometimes struggle with). The only concern is it feels so thin that if it gets caught on a twig, it might tear. Hopefully it has a weave that limits tears. I liked the shirt so much I got another one for a family member and bought one more. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that the UV protection it offers is not as great as advertised. If you burn easily, you will still need to wear sunscreen as the one I got a shirt for got mild burns on his arms after an hour in the sun. To be fair, I did not. I suspect its protection is roughly SPF5 or SPF10. Other than that, it's still a great shirt.

Runs very small: Let me help you with sizing….

My husband is always an XL in everything (very reliable) and the sizing of these Columbia shirts is highly variable depending on style. It’s impossible to see the differences on the models, so I’m happy to explain what we discovered to save you the same hassle. We ordered 3 different cuts in Columbia men’s field shirts. The seamed fairly comparable in quality and UV protection. Silver ridge 2.0 long sleeve: runs very small. An XL would not fit at all. Arms are also very slender, you would have to order 1-2 sizes up if you have large biceps. A very very slim fit. Bonehead shirt: runs large. An XL fit but was extremely baggy. We are going to keep it, the extra room could be advantageous hiking in hot weather. This is an ideal shirt if you like the loose, baggy look/fit. We could have sized down one size and it would have still fit. Bahama: fits exactly as expected. Tight enough to wear to dinner yet comfortable and roomy enough to wear on a hike. Hopefully this information helps you find the right fit and saves you some hassle. Good luck!

Very nice shirt.

This is one of the most comfortable shirts I have. I wear it outside in the sun when working in my yard. I sweat profusely, and the fabric wicks away that moisture very well, so I am relatively cool, especially when mowing the lawn. The only drawback is the special handling when washing the garment, but I consider it to be worth the extra care.

Fit and durability

I like the colors variety, the design and the fit. They are good for the summer as the cloth material is thinner than the original, standard one.

Size Matters

I bought a XL size knowing Columbia shirts are a bit small. But the sleeve on the XL ran down to my knuckles and it was way too baggy around my torso. So I returned it for a size Large. The sleeves are the right length but it is tight around my armpits and shoulders. I’ve never had this problem with other companies shirts. Otherwise I like the shirt.

No other hiking shirts needed.

This shirt has the ideal fit, weight, and durability. I will be getting different colors to compete my hiking pack-list. Highly recommend, but they do fit snug (so don't lie to yourself).

Not good for cold weather

It's very thin and very light. I think it would be great for spring/summer time. It does not moisture wick very well at all so you can freeze in the winter time.

Watch your size carefully

Very much lightweight Well ventilated Size is US. Indians must check size as per inches. Columbia shirts are a class. Experience it if you could. Because of Amazon we can get these at this price.

Buena camisa

Me gustó la camisa, aunque creo que me quedaría mejor una talla chica (al parecer esta publicación es exlusivamente para talla mediana). Un detalle importante es que no es 100% algodón (como se menciona la descripción del producto), pues al revisar la etiqueta de la camisa, indica que es 100% poliéster. De todos modos me agradó mucho. Se puede usar para salir de manera formal, o para ir a campar / hiking, etc. ¡Definitivamente la recomiendo!

La marca garantiza calidad

Es una prenda que es de una calidad muy alta. Funcional las ocupa para el trabajo ya que en mi zona hace bastante calor y sudad mucho y estas prendas te protegen del sol y te mantienen fresco
