a very good buy
lets start by saying i bought this sometime back to replace my leather and suede occi/nichols setup.i really needed something lighter and did`nt plan on buying occi to test out my lightweight theory.i used this set up so far framing/roofing/decking/finish work and building a stockade fence.i used it the last 10 months i worked in the building ind.and am happy to say my lightweight theory was a success.it helped my back a lot to loose at least 1o pounds of just leather.i replaced the belt with a dewalt 5 inch padded belt.because the CLC belt just did`nt cut it anymore its too thin, not stiff enough and too big even on the last holes to fit my waist tight enough to keep the pockets from bouncing.the shoulder pads slide some but once i set them where i want them they do actually stay there.they have enough padding to keep the straps from digging in,but not too much to be in the way.the pads are`nt too thick to be hot but to be honest i sweat enough that i would`nt notice them being hotter then anything else.all in all its a good set up it does have all the pockets/pouches/bags i need and it took me about a day to get used to it.it was cheap and light and thats what i wanted so i gave it 4 stars, only detractors are the the weak belt and middle rear clip holds to the hammer loop in back and i don`t wear my hammer there the one time i did i sat down on a roof and off went my hammer.and that the hammer bounces too much there and hits the back of my leg when i walk.it has a hammer loop on the bag and that`s the one i always use. all in all good layout in the bags for nails, square, nail puller even just the right size for adhesive. ::UPDATE:: i added a Dewalt 5" padded belt and dumped the original loose fitting un-supportive belt.it`s a much, much better rig now. i also pinned the small top pocket closed on one side to reach into the nail bag better, and oddly enough with the small pocket pinned it fits a driver bit perfectly between the pins and right at the perfect reach. with the Dewalt belt the added back support and padding lets me not need the suspenders, and the higher back makes the bags not slide backwards and when used does actually stop the suspenders from sliding or twisting.but makes the rear hammer loop unable to fit the belt and the back hook on the suspenders is now a handle.(i don`t use the rear loop, every time i sat down i dropped the hammer, and i always kept it on the bag anyway) all in all over the past 8 months i`ve used this rig a lot and it has taken the abuse without a problem.

I haven't priced tool belts in 20 years, mine having finally died its honorable no shame death, set me off in that direction. I checked out a couple at Shop Supply, nothing jumped out at me, neither did the price for what is no longer made here. So, using my best amerikan consumer driven, externalized cost indulging, exceptionalism attitude, I went for the bang. Generally, this is the place where I rant about poor quality products made by third graders who work 20 hour days because they are not sufficiently attractive to be sold as slaves.. But, honestly, these children made a damn fine belt. As always, stuff to change. I bought a spring latch hammer holder, cut it all apart, and bolted it to the outermost pouch on my right. Who the hell is contortionist enough to use the one in the middle of their back all day will remain forever one of the people I admire most in the world. The adjusting is something you should do before you get to work. If your gear is needing adjusting all day, said day is ruined. And you'll look like an ass, but hey, not that theres anything wrong with that. If you move the spider looking thing that all the straps go through on the back, as close to the top as you can get it, and, you guessed it, bolt it using s 10/24 machine screw and fender washer, cutting off the extra screw and smashing it, the shoulder straps won't fall down. Whether you have a neck or not. It would make sense to me to make a D ring of the hammer holster in the back instead of. Comfortably holds all three metal snips, hammer, chalk, tape, a stupid amount of collated framing nails, speed square, everything else you can think of along with the whole weeks lunch. The straps distribute the weight evenly, and your pants stay up. Unless that isn't an objective, I'm not judging man. I do have an issue with the homeless family shelter sized box it came in. Really? Is it necessary to send a box so goofy big? Stuffed with crumpled brown paper? Honestly? As if the belt would be shipping damaged. This belt will outlast my contractor escapades, or so I hope. The midterms are coming, we might all end up in boxes apologizing to billionaires for being on their sidewalks.

Seriously good value
This thing is so unbelievably comfortable! It has pockets for everything you could want as a framer and I love having my knife in a little quick draw holster. The only negative for me is that the pockets stick out really far and are built to stay open so it's easy to dump a pouch if you're climbing in and out of tight spaces.

So far I like it. Pockets are much bigger then I expected ...
Been using this a little over a week. So far I like it. Pockets are much bigger then I expected however I like that now. Fits very well over my winter gear and easy access to nails with gloves on. I am very thin n 6 feet tall n fits me just right. No problem fitting between truss on 2' oc. 16 oc us tight but my old one always got hung up n spilt. For the price i think it worth it. Original belt holes seem weak and have already bent rivets on some of them. Hammer on back works great I never get the hammer slap on back of my leg like before on Other ones I had before.

Good
I’m an electrical apprentice and this pouch was perfect for all my needed tools, if there is anything I would have to comment on is that the front pockets like to flip a lot if you bend over a lot which makes it hard to keep any screws or small objects from falling out. So a cover for the front pockets would be nice, something like a velcro flap. Other than that I recommend it for anyone looking for a good tool belt that wont cost you much.

Just as advertised
While it is a big rig I got used to it quite quickly. I'm 5'9" and 155lbs and with all the straps tightened to their stops the rig fits perfectly. If you're smalker and thinner than me them I would think twice before going ahead. Quality is great so far.

Great Belt.
I wear this belt 50 hours a week framing, on my third year with all original parts and pieces still functioning. Already bought another one for when it's time to replace it. I see many comments about it not fitting a 32" waist but I've had 0 issues. Maybe it's just good luck but I love it. Ya it's bulky but it's a milti pocket toolbelt, what do you expect.
