Good fit but hard

This shoe is NOT leather... It is very hard, walking in them is like hitting a stone on the toes. It fits the size and the width, but the inside is very, very hard, as if it had a steel cover ...

Reliable as always

I LOVE Clarks. I wear a 12 N and the podiatrist insisted that I never wear flats again because of my arches and tendency for Plantar Fasciitis. I have several pairs of Clarks slip on (Beverly) and they are terrific so I chose a similar support structure. Both pair ordered are the usual quality of Clarks but the narrow heel is just a little loose. For the first time in years, I may have to add heel pads to keep them from slipping up and down. Other than that. I am thrilled as always with Clarks AND was able to get items on Amazon that were not available directly from Clarks online.

I love Clarks shoes, but this one seems to run small... I'm ordering it in the next size up!

Great shoe, and......

I got it on sale as "Used, Very Good" - I'm assuming someone bought it and then returned it. Looks new to me, fits okay although I needed to use a Dr. Scholls' type insert to make it totally comfortable. I sometimes wear a 7&1/2, sometimes an 8, and this shoe is an 8. This shoe would be fine with jeans, slacks, even a skirt or dress if it's not too fancy. I haven't work it much but it looks like it will hold up well. All in all, I'm very happy that I took a chance on it!

Wife loves the fit and feel

Bought these for my wife to walk around a fairground on a trip we took. She loved them and wears them several days a week for the last 7 months. She asked me for a different color to match more outfits so I guess I'll be buying another pair.

Very convenient

I like to buy Clark brand of shoes because they are good quality, comfortable and I know that if I buy the 7.5 M it will fit me. And these shoes did that. I greatly recommend this brand.

Clarks always provide excellent quality shoes. Ordered these for daily wear. Beautiful deep rich navy blue colour.

More in the promise than in the delivery

I bought the shoe because it looked comfortable -- a generous toe box and a strap across the instep, and being a Clarks, I thought it would be adequately padded in the sole. But I agree with the previous reviews: it is nowhere near enough cushioned, especially towards the front of the foot. I'm hoping that once the leather stretches a bit I'll be able to put in some sort of padding near the ball of the foot. Also, while the Velcro strap is much appreciated, since I like my foot firmly held, it would have helped in wearing the shoe if the fixed cross strap had had an elastic join to the body of the shoe rather than being stitched on. I love the colour I've got (pewter), and think the design of the shoe has great potential, just that Clarks haven't capitalised enough on it.

forget you have them on

Love these shoes. At size 11 xw - fit is perfect. I wondered at first whether they would loosen and be uncomfortable that way, but they haven't. Like the toe box - lots of room. I read a review where someone had said these shoes were not comfortable... not so - they are not running shoes with big cushioning, but I'm very pleased - and do not think about them at all while walking in them. I wish there was a better supply of colours for my size.
