Perfect pizza pan

The pan I received is perfect. Really like the weight of the pan. It's not like the cheaper light weight ones. Made a homemade regular crust in it tonight and it was really good. Since the pan is the darker color, I lowered the temp. to 410 degrees and after 10 minutes raised it to 425. Turned out perfect. I cooked it on the second oven rack from the bottom. We used vegetable shortening to coat the pan and it didn't stick. No problems at all. Watched it closely after 15 minutes. No burnt crust.

Deep dish, yes!

Makes the most amazing crust for Chicago style pizza. Bake in 400 degree oven on lower rack. Perfect every time.

Bigger than expected

Don't know what I was thinking (probably wasn't) when I placed the order, but this thing is huge. Not a complaint, just surprised when I opened the box. I haven't used it yet but it feels solid. The pan is pretty thick steel and I like that the edge of the pan the metal is rolled, which should offer some resistance to twisting and warping. The coating feels slick to the touch so I don't expect sticking or cleaning will be a issue. Looking forward to making a pizza in it.

Deep dish pizza pan

We make a lot pizza from scratch. Maybe it’s my recipe, but once I get the dough risen and rolled out. This pan makes the best deep dish pizza. 16” of perfection. It’s a coated pan and I use olive oil in my recipe so nothing sticks. It lifts out and I cut it on an extra large pizza paddle. If you make pizza, this pan is bonus.

Not recommend for Chicago Style Deep-dish

Although the pan is heavy and should do a wonderful job transfering heat and cooking the pizza very evenly, the height of the walls is not high enough for a Chicago Style Deep-dish or Stuffed Pizza. I was hoping the measurements were a bit off because some reviews had said it was bigger than expected, however, on the contrary it was a but shorter than 1.5"- only measuring about 1.3". It could be used to make a pan pizza, like Pizza Hut, but definitely not recommended for a Chicago Style Deep-dish or Stuffed Pizza.
