Great watch for the price!

I've had it for about a month now and I'm overall happy with it. The good: keeps time well, not to loud, looks great, easy to read, taken some abuse well, no water intrusion up to 24in depth, no issue with the battery charging yet, great size on my small/ med wrist stays clean. The bad: the bezzel paint has rubbed off already (i don't think I've been abnormally rough on it) and it's scuffed. The date switches slowly from midnight to 2am (not sure if that's normal) read your manual on this. Must manual reset date if not 31 days/mo. Only the hands glow, and only for a short time. The band isn't my favorite, but it looks nice. The band pins poped out once and the watch fell off. Its the most reasonably priced watch with the features I wanted. Wish the bezel was more useful, and the metal was more scuff resistant, but would absolutely recommend this as an active persons watch! I'll keep this and enjoy it as long as the band doesn't keep falling off.

LOVE this watch!

Absolutely LOVE this watch! The face is crystal clear and looks amazing (in the “diver watch” class). Solar-powered too! Practical, stylish, and down-to-earth. Throw on a stainless steel, black or brown leather, or another style of Barton 22mm band, and it will go with anything you wear, for any occasion. Seriously the best watch you can buy for the money.

Great everyday beater

Affordable, accurate, aesthetically pleasing. It would have been perfect if the bezel actually rotated. I changed the strap that came with it to silicon for better comfort. Like most Casio's it just keeps on ticking. It just would have been nice if it actually had a functioning bezel.

Simple and Clean Appearance.

I have some nice Casio , Seiko and Citizen divers watches. Some with depth gauges. But I wanted something simple and clean for work and wouldn't mind getting scratched and dinged up. I like the simplicy of this one. I think it look great and is my style. Very happy with the "look". What's not to like, the bezel is fake, it does not turn. Real bezels turn counter clockwise only. This one does not move at all, its just for show. The strap is awful. The hole grommets make it very difficult to adjust the strap from hole to hole as the buckle pin gets hung-up between the holes. You almost need three hands to get the buckle latched in the right hole. Also, the strap retainers are very hard to position and the outer most one keep moving to the end of the strap against the watch. I've only owned it one day and I've already ordered an aftermarket strap to try on it. One silicone and one stainless. I like the watch, but the strap sucks. I like the fact that its solar powered. It's my first solar watch. Hopefully it will serve me well. Time will tell, but I can't report on it at this time. MPM

Un Casio que funciona con energía solar a buen precio

Lo compré hace ya varios meses, ya tiene algunos rayones, pero me parece que eso le da personalidad. Es muy versátil, funciona con energía solar, se le ven bien varias correas. En mi opinión, el tamaño está bien para muñecas delgadas o promedio. Un Casio aguantador sin ser GShock ni ser muy caro.

Crystal scratched easily, but I may just be hard on equipment.

Nice looking field watch with easy to read numbers. Supplied fabric strap is not good, but I prefer metal bracelets anyway so I planned to replace it when I bought it. Case is 42mm. (The product description is not accurate at time of writing this review.) Bezel does not rotate, crown does not screw down. I found the crystal scratched rather easily, but I may just be hard on equipment. Scratches can be seen in the photos. This is after 3-4 months of almost daily wear. I'll probably look into getting the crystal replaced with something more durable in the future. As a big fan of solar watches, this is a nice addition to my collection of Citizen Eco-drives and Seikos, and will probably be my go-to beater field watch for some time!

Nice solar powered watch for the price with a few caveats

PROs: Nice solar-powered, water-resistant watch (but definitely not meant for diving) for the price. Solar power feature is great so you never have to replace a battery. It does not require a lot of charging and lasts for a long time on a full charge. Timekeeping appears solid and accurate and the day/date function is also nice. CONs: The bezel does not rotate. The face and numbers have no illumination/glow in the dark but the hands do, so still possible to tell time in the dark although it’s not super bright. The provided strap is of poor quality and the rivets for the holes on mine began to pop out and the fabric began to fray in some areas after a few months of regular wear. I ended up replacing the strap with a much nicer one from Shinola (size 22mm) which cost almost as much as the watch but it looks great and should last a long time. Overall, you get a solid daily watch that never needs a battery for a decent price but plan on replacing the strap at some point. P.S. I measured the case diameter at 39/40mm so the listing saying it’s much bigger is inaccurate, at least for the watch that I received.

Not a dive watch but it's not meant to be.

I got this watch to wear while canoeing and the water proof rating is more than adequate for that. With canoes the question is not if but when do you go for a swim. It is disappointing that the bezel does not rotate. I did replace the canvas strap with a stainless steel one. The bonus for me was that with the information in the owners manual I was able to put my 20 year old Casio solar model, which had come to a complete stop, back into use.

Overpriced with Quality Control Issues

I ordered two of these and they both had numerous scratches around the case. One of them also had a small unsightly mark on the dial. For around £90 each, I expected better quality control (neither had any signs of being customer returns). Also, for what you get, I think the price is a little steep – a stationary bezel and a poor quality strap (which I was planning on changing regardless) certainly doesn’t help matters. I still love Casio watches but this was a really disappointing experience. Edit: I eventually ended up getting a Lorus Lumibrite (RJ655AX9) instead - better quality, better value for money and priced at less than a third of the price for this Casio.

Ordered this from Amazon US as not widely available in the UK. As many others have said lose the strap. The sunburst effect on the dial is insane. Second hand hits the indices exactly. I like the eclectic face of the watch. Watch is well made and solid with little airs and graces. Can recommend.

Definitvamente una gran elección

The media could not be loaded. La verdad es un gran reloj a un precio muy razonable. No hay muchos con sus características en este rango de precio. En persona es muy bonito; con sus acabados de acero tanto cepillados como perfectamente reflejantes. VENTAJAS: -Energía solar. -Es muy legible. -Se ve de buena calidad de construcción. -Diseño elegante y funcional. -La caratula negra tiene un pequeño reflejo que lo hace ver más premium pese a ser de estilo militar. -Tiene fecha (día de la semana) en inglés y en español y sábado en color azul, domingo en color rojo. -Es ligero, de buen tamaño (no muy grande ni muy pequeño) y no es muy ancho. -Puedes combinarlo con muchos estilos de correa (pienso adquirir una metálica). -¿Qué más puedo decir? Es un CASIO y eso lo hace muy confiable. DESVENTAJAS: -La correa original con la que viene (Véase en las últimas fotos). Esta correa es tosca y rígida y hace sentir como si el reloj fuera más pesado. Sus materiales no son los mejores y hace que el reloj no lusca tan elegante, además de sentirla un poco incomoda. -En la oscuridad no se iluminan los números, únicamente las manecillas (también segundero) tienen fluorescencia y quizá no es la mejor, pero funciona. CONCLUSION: -Recomiendo mucho el cambio de correa; yo utilicé una de piel de bizonte y definitivamente hizo lucir 100 veces más elegante al reloj. -No tiene bezel giratorio, pero honestamente no siento que le haga falta. -Si te gusta CASIO y estás buscando una opción no tan barata, pero que no sea Edifice o G-shock y buscas algo funcional y muy bonito... Definitvamente esta es la mejor opción, siempre y cuando consideres un cambio de correa. -Muy satisfecho con mi compra, lo recibí en menos de 24 hrs y no me arrepiento, es un reloj muy bueno para lo que cuesta.

Really poor glow in the dark.

A really great watch, awesome accuracy with clear day and date let down by really poor glow in the dark. If you can live with this then you will be very happy. Also I would recommend changing the watch strap but wait until you see the strap in person.

Great Looking

I liked the watch even with the green strap, as I thought it looked very military, but my wife wasn't keen so I bought a black leather one and it looks very stylish. Keeps very good time too.
