Works well but only once
I bought these because the Pearhead frame kit came with only one ink pad and we used it up without getting any frame-worthy prints. To be safe, I bought 3 of these to finish the job and we used all 3. The prints came out nice and dark with this ink pad, but be aware that each pad is really only for one time use. The second print on the same pad (assuming you use the same area, which you probably will because the pads are pretty small) will come out much lighter. For $5 a pad, it's pretty expensive for what it is. But, I didn't want to get ink on my baby's skin and this was the only alternative I could find.

Not that awesome
I waited for my 3 month old to fall asleep before attempting to use this ink pad to always and forever remember his little tootsies... That was the easy part. Stamping his foot was relatively easy, too. The print was dark and solid. Much of the detail was lost, though. Bummer. Oh well, on to the next print (it states the pad may be used a few times before ink is used up). This time, I was going to stamp his little hand... The print wasn't nearly as dark, but there was all the detail I was looking for! All his little creases, wrinkles and finger prints! One problem, though... The previous attempt at his footprint transferred... My perfect little handprint now had his (less than) perfect little footprint right in the middle of it! Ugh! I'll buy a real ink pad locally and try again. Good thing I only paid about $5!!

Its Ok
You could easily make something like this yourself though. Its a piece of cardboard with the center cut out and in the center of the cardboard is a piece of plastic wrap with ink on one side. Its only enough ink to get a couple of handprints. Its useful, but if I knew what it was, I would have made it myself using an ink pad, cardboard, tape, and plastic wrap.

Does the job
This ink pad did what it said it would, although I would have liked for the print to be a little darker, as some reviews have mentioned. It's not that bad though, and shows up in my book well. Good luck getting a good handprint with a newborn though! Mine came out very smeared! They just want to ball up their fists! :) I like how the ink doesn't actually touch their feet and hands, so there is virtually no mess. I was able to use mine a few times.

Kind of messy and tricky.
Glad I ordered more than one set because it took a few tries to get this right. The prints either came out heavy and dark or uneven the first few tries. I managed to get a few cute prints but it took some work to get it right. It was also meet too. I probably would try something else if I ever needed to do this again.

It's great, but don't expected the first couple to come out. There is too much ink initially. I thought I was buying a baby safe ink pad for some reason. This is difference. It does keep their little hands and feet clean, but there is a learning curve and you can only really use it once. Next baby I'll get a regular ink pad.

Waste of money
It is only a one time use product and very difficult to line up the paper, the ink pad and the baby's hand/foot. I had hoped to used this for both hand prints and did a test with my fingerprint to gauge how much pressure I needed to get a clear print. This left an imprint of my fingerprint on the inkpad and was only able to get smudge of black with my fingerprint in the center when I tried to use it on the baby. This might work for fingerprints on an older child but don't buy for a baby keepsake

Limited use to only once or twice.
Wasn't as expected. Limited use ink pad. I thought that it was a typical ink pad, but instead it was really best for only once or twice use because of the "mess free" design. Sadly, wouldn't but it again but it served its purpose.

Very Easy But Not What I Thought
This was super easy to use but it wasn't quite what I expected, so I will explain for other buyers: it's not a reusable ink pad! It's a one-time use pad and it was smaller than I thought it should be due to that fact. I could only fit one baby foot as well, because the pad is fairly narrow. Otherwise, it was a great product with no muss, no fuss!

Worst waste of money
If I could, I would give it a minus! I used a similar ink pad before this one and the results were amazing, so I thought of ordering one more and went for this as it was cheaper. Well now I know why it was cheaper! Its total garbage - don’t waste your money

Really only good for one use
Really only good for one use, but worked perfectly with no mess or cleanup afterward. I got thrifty for my second one and got two footprints out of one pad but my daughter was only like a month old at the time so.,.. tiny hands.

Doesn't Work
Tried 2 times with 2 separate orders but ink seems to be dried and doesn't work at all! Not even proper fingerprint let alone hand print.

Looks good!
Used for my pets. You can get a fair amount of use out kf the one pad if you move it around and don't mind the faded colour of the prints in time. Love it.
