Nice hat, but...

For me, this hat is too flimsy. The material is too soft and too weak. I know it is crushable, but at least it should have some firmness to keep it's shape. Next is the sizing. Brixton said I need a large since I wear a 58/59. Large was 60 and it really did not go down much with the adjustment strap. Now, I do like the adjustment strap using Velcro vs a tie string like other hats. But overall, I have to send this back. Just isn't for me.

A Great Hat for the Price

I've been a fan of Brixton hats for years. This hat in particular is always of excellent quality, and the wool felt is soft in to the touch and warm for those frosty days and nights. The hat is a bit oversized, but since I have a big head its fit is nice and comfortable on my head. I actually lost this hat while traveling, but I loved it so much that I decided to buy this very style again. I now where this as my dress hat for parties and special events and whatnot. This is an excellent hat for the money. I'd totally recommend it for anyone who is looking for a great quality hat but doesn't quite want to cough up over $100 for one. This hat is cheaper than the high end hats like Stetson, but doesn't sacrifice quality. If you're ever in the market for a good quality hat, then I'd totally recommend this one and other Brixton hat styles.

Love my Brixton, I thought it was a little large, but there is an adjustable strap inside for desired fit.

I bought it has a gift for my husband birthday as but he's so nosey he open the package and he said look here you go … I was piss and told him, no hear you go happy early birthday overall he love the hat it fits him perfectly he those have a fairly large dome.

It only took me 54 years to find some piece of fashion that I can rock and call my own...

I recently started wearing a brown felt fedora that I had owned for a number of years, but never thought I looked good in hats. The brown one got positive comments, so I've started to wear it as a signature piece. When I decided to go to a conference, I thought I needed a black fedora since I often wear all black. OMG! I have NEVER had so many comments on something I've worn in my life. It looks great, it fits my head (a tricky concept to start with), and it does add a stylistic flair I've never had before. It's rare that I wear it out now without getting at least one compliment on it. I've never had a "spur of the moment" purchase turn out so well. If you're thinking of going the felt fedora route, I highly recommend this hat.

A solid, simple hat with a lot of character.

Brixton hats usually run a little big, so keep that in mind when buying one. I usually wear a 7 5/8, an XL for most brands, but with each of my Brixton hats a Large fits where my normal size would be too big. This hat's not one that I've worn much, but it looks great. The way it was shipped I had to reform it a bit after receiving it, since it was scrunched in the box, but otherwise it's been good (find some help on YouTube if you need to do this and aren't familiar with the process) It's well constructed, the band doesn't look cheap, and it's good and warm. A solid, simple hat with a lot of character.

not the worst experience I've had but for the price tag I ...

I'd already tested the hat in a shop before I bought it. The L is labelled as 60cm, however is probably more around 62cm in diameter, meaning if you have a head that measures at 59cm I would probably suggest a medium. It does't bother me to much as I wanted the hat to be a little loose and it's important to remember that wool fedoras shrink a lot if they get very wet. So if you're buying in England keep that in mind. Anyway, the reason for the 3 stars is that although the hat turned up a day earlier than expected, it was in awful packaging. Just a single plastic bag, with no handle with care stickers etc and as a result the brim had become completely deformed. Wool fedoras are known to be very hard to reshape once they lose their shape and the effects can be irreversible in some instances. I therefore had to spend my entire evening steaming and straightening the brim trying to get it back to it's original shape. The hat is decent quality, however placing it within a box would keep it intact and for the price it is you would expect it to have been shipped with a little more thought and care. Overall, not the worst experience I've had but for the price tag I expected better.
