TDS high coming from the storage tank. There is a wood varnish taste, not the Brita taste.

The unit arrived in good condition. My first impression on the unit appears be a good quality workmanship. To introduce, we are using chlorine-treated spring water with no after metallic after taste. Our community water supply's TDS is <150 ppm. For RO unit, the setup was easy to follow. 3ml household bleach was added in the yellow hose and was purged for 24 hours as instructed. The observation on the second day (24H after sanitising and purging) was, if the storage tank is not pressurise the TDS is say 8-30ppm. But if the storage tank is full the water coming from the RO faucet's TDS is say 120 ppm. (Reading from a cheap TDS meter- no calibration) The base line data of the TDS coming from the RO drain is >160 ppm which appears to have a filtering effect. For the taste, I was expecting the Brita taste but is was not. It appears normal to have charcoal grains are evident coming from the faucet initially. Not sure if the water in the drain red hose and the black hose mixes with the blue hose in the faucet or in the RO assembly or a quality or design issue with the unit or the filters. Cannot recommend buying this for now. 09/June/21 A wood varnish after taste is evident after 24H of purging. Quality Control is needed. Will update the review if Amazon permits. My first "No Good" review in Amazon.

Waste of your money

They ask what I like about this product... NOTHING! What I dislike... everything. As soon as this system was installed it provided a cup of water in about 5 minutes. It was just dripping the water. Britta said to reverse the pre and post filters, which immediately fixed the problem... for about a day. Since the installation I have to get under the sink every day or 2 and reverse the filters. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. I called again but they have no other fixes. Time to get a new system after 4 months.

Avoid, Extremely difficult to install, Pushing tube on to faucet will cause a kink and result in water leaks. Once installed, works vary well

Happy with this purchase.

We got this filter because there are forever chemicals in our water which are carcinogens. This particular water filter says it filters out these PFAS chemicals. We haven't tested the water yet but we feel better about drinking the water. It took a while to install. There is good water pressure, plenty of water in the storage tank, and it tastes great. Happy with this purchase.

Not easy to install

Love the water and not having to buy bottled water all the time. Installation?? Lol… I had to hire someone to install it. Other than that, it works great

Ineffective product

The media could not be loaded. The Brita RO isn't effective for the following reasons: 1. RO typically reduces TDS to under 50 ppm. 2. Tap water in my household is 236 ppm. After applying Brita RO, it becomes 196 ppm. 3. See video for proof. I am returning this item and asking for a full refund. False advertisement as it does not meet RO's standard.
