Good, but not what’s pictured

These are really good darts. The balance is probably better than any of my other dart sets. BUT, the grip is not what’s pictured. The grip shown is gnurled, whereas the actual grip is spiral.

Not bad, but not what I expected

I ordered these first and foremost because I like Bottelsen Darts a lot. I was also really excited about the texture, grip and look of the barrel. I received the darts today, and I was a little disappointed that they were almost nothing like the picture (see my attached photo). I should have checked the part number in the description because the Bottelsen site shows the correct dart (the ones I received). The picture on the Amazon listing should be updated to show the correct dart. As far as the darts, the grip is almost non existent, and the rings are not pronounced enough for me to get a consistent grip every time. The weights were a little inconsistent weighing in at 24.37, 24.43 and 24.49 on my scale. That being said, they throw really well, and I'm getting nice consistent groups. They definitely grew on me after a while, but I think I prefer the Bottelsen Great White darts. As always, the Bottelsen quality is great. So far, the black finish is holding up. Give these a try if you like a lower grip, narrower barrel dart. My only complaint is the stock flights, so you'll likely want to change them to something a bit more sturdy.

These darts have a very aggressive grip on em. They are great for my hands that get sweaty when I get an intense match. I wish they shafts had O-rings and the flights were better but for the price and quality of barrel it is worth it in my mind. Overall great darts that improved my game and wouldn't mind a second set. I'd definitely recommend these darts to anyone looking for a good grip and don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of cash for a darts. I've spent over $300 on darts and these are now my go to set. Only bad side to this purchase is the flights and no O-rings for shafts but that is really minor stuff since I get O-rings and flights separate for most of my darts.

Perfect length, shape and weight - the grip kills it.

The weight is perfect - heavy enough to throw with control, light enough to not to be fatiguing. The size of the barrel is perfect, unlike many other barrels that are either too fat or thin. Problem is the grip. You want just enough grip to be able to hold it firmly and control when it leaves your hand. This has a diamond plate style grip with the raised diamond shaped areas being too sharp - the result is too much grip. Because there is too much grip, there is virtually no way to release the dart with any control. When releasing the dart, there should be enough smoothness for the dart to slide out of your hands just a bit - with these darts, there isn't even the slightest bit of sliding. The only way to release them is to release your fingers at the perfect moment - no room for give at all. Unless you have perfect timing you will have a hard time consistently making the perfect release that is needed to make these dart fly with any accuracy.

Great barrels

These barrels work well for me. I love the 30g wt and the texture of the barrel. I don't use the shafts or flights that came with the set. I use Dynastar shafts with with coal-cracker style flights. I don't find that the texture of the barrel is too 'grippy' as another user pointed out. The tips stick very well into the boards I play on so even if I have a bad throw and the dart is hanging on by the tip, they don't seem to fall out. I'd buy these again!

My go-to darts

Excellent darts! I put on fit flights and shafts, but the ones included work fine. I've owned about a dozen sets of tungsten darts, and these were my go-to darts for league play, tournaments, and practice. The grip did start to wear down after a while, but I used them a lot.

Very good darts. Definitely worth the money.

I've been throwing darts for about 35 years now. I'd say that these darts are among the best, if not the best, I've ever thrown. They definitely take my accuracy to the next level. I highly recommend them to any serious dart player.
