Not as premium as I’d hoped

Overall, better than off brand/store brands at this price point. Keep in mind this purchase was $51 plus $14 shipping. However, not quite as premium as the short run of USA made No. 16. This version is much softer both in upper and sole. Likes: Upper and inner feel nice and soft. British Tan color is very nice. Plenty of room for toes and feels slightly wide for not being a wide sized shoe; allows a little more wiggle room, is what I’m saying here. Overall comfort is a 3.5 out of 5 since my office days are approximately an 11 hour day/wear. Dislikes: Sole feels too soft, to the point that I get the sensation that the arch flexes downward as opposed to being more rigid and supportive. I can definitely feel the where the shoe heel starts further back on my arches and heels. Shoe laces are very thin; a nice waxed lace would have been a better touch for sure. Overall, has more of a broken in feel which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, and for casual wear and comfortable office shoes, I’m down with these.

Wide and very slippery!

On the positive side, they are quite comfortable shoes, although a tad wide for my standard-sized feet. Also, it seems that the shoes are fairly unisex in their design, as a lot of women have purchased these, and seem to like them. To my surprise, they are lightweight, unlike a pair of other leather shoes I have; at a glance, they look like they might be heavy. On the down side, the shoes are very slippery, especially on carpet. After a week of walking on concrete they will likely be less slippery. I’m counting down the days before the upper part of (at least one) the shoes gets scuffed up. I didn’t purchase the wide version of my size, but they are wide anyway. I do wonder what kind of foot would need a wide version of this shoe.

Good Shoe; It's Appearance is Like a Flatened Out Traditional Oxford

For starters, I was looking for a dark brown shoe; when this came, it was generally lighter than the picture. I will say, the look has grown on me. The leather is textured nicely, meaning the stamped pattern made to look like natural graining is nice; hell you can't see it, exactly because it's so subtle, but knowing is good enough. It fits well, there lots of space, the shoe is flexible right out to box, and it is comfortable for lots of walking. The leather sole can be bit slippery so take smaller steps on slippery flooring and be sure to center/plant yourself. All in all, very satisfied.

Good dress shoes

These shoes do run large — I exchanged for size 9, I have another pair of Bostonians and they are 9.5, ~same fit. The leather upper is relatively soft from day 1 (I’ve had these for a month). Sole is sturdy and still breaking in — not the most comfortable shoe for long periods of standing or walking, but for a dress shoe / office shoe this is just fine. I’m pleased with my purchase, pleased with the shoe, enough so that I’m in process of buying my 3rd pair of Bostonians and looking to this brand as a staple for my dress shoe needs. Leather sole is so far holding up well and a big reason I bought this shoe. I’ve found better quality from this brand than Cole Haan’s that I own (overrated).

Real Bostonian fit

This shoe is classic Bostonian, not their newer version. The original has leather soles and uppers with a finer detail to the stitching. The newer version is more plastic/pleather with a composit sole. Very durable but not the same. My favorite Bostonian shoe was the "Howes" but alas it's not produced anymore. It's possibly a conspiracy that every time I love a shoe style it changes.

AMAZING SHOES!!!

Classy, sharp, very good quality... Truly amazing shoes. Very much worth the money! I wear a 9.5 in women's Adidas shoes and have previously ordered an 8 in Bostonian leathers, but the 7.5 fit me perfectly (DIDN'T even need to order wide)! Definitely a staple in my wardrobe!

This was an awesome deal

I got these for $28.99 CAD. Couldn't believe the price. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality. The leather is soft and pliable. There wasn't any break in period. The leather soles were slippery at first but after roughing them up on the cement sidewalks they're fine now. Highly recommend them for the price.

Better to order one size less if wide version

Well made & comfortable. A note however, the sole is highly polished, which means they will be slippery the first time you wear them, find rough surface to wear that shine off quickly.
