sanding pads

sander seems to be ok but the sanding pads that are manufactured for unit are absolute junk and expensive therefore making the sander useless

Decent sander, but nearly impossible to remove and replace dust container

As a sander I really like this. It's variable speed let's you quickly remove wood, or slow it down for a fine finish pass with a higher grit. Dust collection seems to be good, at least when I'm using net sanding discs. I like that it's 5" too, making it a bit more mannerisms and it's much easier to get discs. The problem I have is that the dust collection tray is almost impossible to remove and replace. I don't know if this is common or if I have a manufacturing defect. Regardless it's a fault and one that prevents me from truly loving this sander.

No Storage Bag or Case Included!!

I can't believe Bosch is so cheap they can't include a storage case or bag for this already overpriced sander, especially with there being removable parts, like the dust filter and the vacuum attachment. (At least they included the vacuum attachment) . I would have rated it higher if a storage container had been included. Maybe I will get a DeWalt or a Milwaukee storage bag.

This sander is heavy.

I bought this sander for boat work. It is nearly twice as heavy as any I've owned before. I returned it unused and ordered a Makita.

Very effective

This is a massive step up from the $60 -$80 sanders, I like the adjustable speed control and the dust collection is rather effective.

Powerful & great dust collection

I love the adjustable speed and more powerful than the Dewalt it replaces. The dust collection is really impressive. I reviewed a number of other products and for the price you can't beat it
