Don not purchase

I purchased this product because i like Borghese and used it many years ago. I applied this exfoliate to my face and i received what seemed to be a chemical burn. Had to go to my doctors office and had to put on oral and topical steriods. Horrible reaction. My skin will never look the same after this incident. Just be cautious.

Heavenly scent, and texture

I’ve been using Borghese for years , I used to buy it at Macy’s but can only be purchased on-line. I love the scent, the silkiness, and luxurious feel of this product. I adore the entire line of products

Great exfoliator. No ingredient list though.

This is a nice exfoliator. It has a grainy sand-like substance in it to do the exfoliating (none of those horrible plastic microbeads, thankfully). I use it once a week before bed and I love the way it makes my skin feel--refreshed and clean, but not tight or uncomfortable. The instructions say to only use it once a week. I do think if you use it more frequently, it would do some damage to your skin because the exfoliating material is rough. I have pretty sensitive skin and did not have any adverse reactions to this product. It's pricey, but with limited use, this small bottle will go a long way. I really like it. My one complaint is that there doesn't seem to be an ingredient list for this product. I'm not sure if that's not required because it's Italian or what, but I do generally like to read the ingredients (even if most of them are science-y words that I have know idea what they are). I generally like to know what I put on my face or in my body.

Gentle Exfoliator

I turned 50 this year and have been using anti-aging products for the past several years. I do enjoy a good facial exfoliator and try to use them a couple of times a week. I'm not sure how they describe different exfoliators, but compared to others, this has a "mid-grit" to it. I've had some that are harsher and some that are gentler. It doesn't take a lot of product per use. It has a mild, pleasant scent that's barely noticeable. It rinses easily after use. I have somewhat sensitive skin. Some products leave my face red for a while. I had no issues with this after using it. I haven't noticed any difference as far as the age defying, but since I am a regular user of such products, that doesn't surprise me. It leaves behind soft skin.
