True to size, waterproof suede boot.
This boot is true to size and so beautifully sharp looking! I love that it’s a suede waterproof boot that can be worn in mixed winter/fall weather. Even the zippers on the side are waterproofed! I would say that it’s true to size, and it maybe even stretched a little my first time wearing it so it became slightly looser. This is a good thing for me, because I would like to put a cushioning innersole into the shoe. The one downside to this shoe is that there is no shock absorption built into the shoe.

Beautiful But Narrow

Terribly stiff and small toe box
I love my black blonde waterproof booties so I was excited about the taupe taller ankle boots. Unfortunately they fit totally different. In my normal 8, the toe box is incredibly narrow. I have narrow feet! miserable. Tried the 8.5 and they sort of fit in the toe box with medium socks but they slid off my ankle when I walked. They are very stiff and don't have the extra cushion inside my other Blondo's have. Very bummed these cute shoes didn't work out.

Don’t hold up after 2 months
I loved these boots when I first got them. However, they have one major issue that outweighs all the great things about them: their plastic heel. It is cheap (so, so cheap) plastic with an image of a stacked heel printed on. I noticed this when I got them, and I’ve been careful when wearing them. I’ve worn these boots on average 1-3 times a week for 2 months, and they quickly got several scuff marks/scratches on the heel that scratched the printed image off, through to the white plastic underneath. It’s obvious and has dramatically shortened the life of the boots. I’ve been filling the scratches with sharpie, but I’m sure you can imagine what they would look like if I’d left them. My other boots from blondo have been going strong for several years. This year I paid full price for a black pair of these boots, and I found two more pairs with similar plastic heels at TJMaxx and at first was thrilled. However, after seeing how poorly my full price pair has held up, I can’t bring myself to keep the other pairs I got, even for $50-60. I wouldn’t have thought this would be as much of a dealbreaker as it is, but I can’t bring myself to keep boots I know will look like trash in only a few months of light wear. I also don’t want Blondo to think this kind of planned obsolescence is okay. It’s not okay for the environment, and it’s not okay for your customers. I’m not going to pay for cheap products that fall apart after minimal use and need to be thrown into a landfill in less than a year. It’s incredibly wasteful. I’m disappointed.

Great boot!
This is my third pair of Blomdo boots. They’re always comfortable. This pair more modern with higher shaft. They look great and I’m fully satisfied with purchase
