Hi quality soe, but buy 1.5 sizes larger than street shoe. Runs small. Also came with no laces

I normally where a 9-9.5 street shoe, so was shocked when the size 10's I ordered were too small. I also was disappointed there was no option on Amazon to exchange sizes, so I actually had to return the shoe, wait for a credit and buy again. Shoe also came with no laces, which I found surprising. Other than that, this is a quality tap show, however it comes a little stiff, so needs breaking in. There is also no rubber on the bottoms, like some.

I LOVE THESE SHOES!

This is my second pair. The first lasted Seven years. The right shoe needed a little stretching on the outside of the toe. Since then, the shoes are more true to size. I’m a 7-1/2 street shoe and the new pair are a bit loose. I love my old JSS shoes. After a short break in, they felt like slippers. After dancing 4 days a week for years, the taps and skids both wore down.

They my be a little pricey but I only had to get them once, until my daughter grows out of the and I can pass them down to my younger daughter, we where buying 3 to 4 pairs a year before getting these it saved me more then the coast of these

Great tap shoes

I bought these tap shoes for my 14 year old granddaughter. The shoes run about one size small. She wears a size 7 in a street shoe. She tried on her instructors size 9 and determined a size 8 should be right. They are perfect. They are a little heavier than other tap shoes. But this is good because the sound of her tapping has improved. She loves them. Her sister who has been dancing for 18 years has a pair and she loves them as well. She has used them for about 5 years and they are as good as new. You will not be disappointed.

Jason Samuels Smith Tap Shoes are top of the line!!!

I love my BLOCH Jason Samuels Smith Tap Shoes! These fit perfectly! I ordered my pair in black. I wear a size 9 in street shoes per measurements. I tried on a 9 1/2 and a 10 in the JSAMS. The 10 had way too much toe room. However the 9 1/2 was form fitting. My big toe stops not too far from the end of the toe box. So yes you definitely will need to go up a half size. You do not want your tap shoes to be too big. If the shoe is form fitting in all the right areas but it rubs your toe you can break the shoe in or take it to the shoe cobbler to have the toe area stretched. The leather is so soft that breaking the shoe in should not take too long. The inside feels soft and luxurious on your foot. You will notice that this shoe is slightly heavier depending on the weight of your previous oxford tap shoe. When I tap now my sounds are out of this world! If you are serious about tap dance or just want quality tap shoes that will last and sound great...This is your shoe!

The BEST tap shoes!!

My granddaughter is on her 2nd pair of these shoes. She LOVES them! Because of the quality, all of the girls at her studio are now using these shoes. They couldn't understand why Sarah's tapping was much louder and clearer. She dances A LOT, and never stood a chance of wearing the first pair out. She does wear a 6 1/2 , 7 regular shoe and had to get a size 8 tap shoe though. LOVE THEM

OBSESSED

I love this product so so much. I am a dance teacher and I needed a solid shoe that wouldn't fall apart. I am the biggest Bloch fan for tap shoes. I teach at least 11 tap classes a week and had the same pair for 10 years. They have officially worn out. This was an upgrade and splurge without breaking my bank for custom shoes. I am so so so so so happy I bought them. They are so comfortable. The quality is great. I am requiring some of my tappers to get these shoes because they are that good. The only downside is that they run a little small. I am a size 7- 7.5 normally and had to buy a size 8. If you are a dance teacher or dancer looking for a solid shoe look no further!

made very small

Seems like a beautifully made shoe although very small ... I normally wear a 9 and a 10 was even a bit too small ... Also ... the shoes came with no laces which I found very odd? I questioned other buyers and they reported their shoes came with laces. I’m returning them for a half size up and I’m hoping thewe next ones come with laces! I’ll write a new review once I receive the new size!

The most comfortable tap shoes I've ever owned. Very soft leather but lots of support. Would definitely order these again.
