If you've used the B&K trimmer there is no reason not to buy the OEM spool.

I haven't used it but would probably give it a 5+ stars if it works are good as the original one in my Black and Decker trimmer. I have the cheap 20 volt B&D cordless trimmer. It has only 2 speeds and when I first used it I wasn't happy, until I selected the top speed. The second speed is adequate.and it is to the garage sale for my electric and gas trimmers. I used to spend so much time pulling the head and pulling out more line or trying to get my gas trimmer to start. I have a small yard and I don't trim that often but I bought my trimmer almost 2 years ago and it doesn't need replacing yet. Black and Decker doesn't price these things like printer ink. There is not reason to take a chance. I've never had to stop and turn the trimmer upside down to get it to feed. It is so sweet to just charge a trimmer and be able to trim and edge and not worry about stopping to get the line to feed. Not once in the 2 years I've had my trimmer have I had to stop to feed line. It just works.

excellent functionality/cost. Cuts all grass so far.

This is pretty much just some run of the mill string for weed eaters. It works good and for the price it isn't bad at all. It cuts even the heaviest grass I throw at it. Bottom line, If you want some great and also cheap line. This is probably the one for you. It definitely can get more expensive from here, but why do you need really expensive line if you don't use it ALL THE TIME. I use it about once a week for a couple hours on heavy-small grass and its a charm. Nothing really left to say but the only reason you need anything better, is if you have something extreamly thick to cut. I guess I only used this stuff a handful of times too, its probably not THE ULTIMANT string or anything. But the functionality/cost is very, very pleasing. Also Im using it on a 40v black decker if that helps for some reason.

Misleading product photo is very annoying

I admit to not reading closely enough to see that this was meant to be just one spool. I wish they would change the product photo because it is misleading and that is going to generate bad will. Nevertheless, the product came in good condition and if it is like previous spools it will do the job nicely. Spring has sprung and our yard needs some work.

Cordless is the way to go!

I like the ease with which you can switch between trimming (horizontal) and edging (vertical). The battery charge doesn't last as long as I expected, but you get two batteries, which gives you plenty of time. Love the absence of a cord!

This string is the best, but it could be better

This string is the best, but it could be better. I bought my dad a new B&D trimmer and accidently bought a knock-off brand of string whilst ordering the trimmer (buy these items together...). Always, always buy the brand name string for your trimmer...less problems, less waste of string. Dad (and my experience with trimmers) still have occasional problems with the string spool exploding (becoming unwound), but nothing severe like using a knock-off brand. So, I give this product a 4-star rating because there is room for improvement to make it less trouble free (e.g., go through a spool without breakage (make a heavier gauge) or explosion (machine winding needs closer look).

Works just like the original spool that came with my Black and Decker Weedeater

This spool with weedeater line works as well as the spool of weedeater line that came with my Black and Decker Weedeater. I purchased it so I will have a backup when my original spool is empty. This way I will always have the extra spool filled and ready to go when one runs out. I can get the job I am doing done faster, if I don't have to stop to fill the spool while I am doing the job. I liked the clear color line better then the colored line. I highly recommend this product and will buy it again, if I need one.

Good Value

This was a little more expensive than the non name brand ones but a few lower reviews decided me to get. I am not very technically inclined so did not want to fiddle if the other type caused issues. Exactly the same as in the stores and a little cheaper and delivered so very convenient

Fake product

Fairly certain this was not an original Black and Decker product that I was sent. As soon as the packaging came off, the string came loose and unwound, making it difficult to use the hedge trimmer without constantly having to tinker with the spool. Do yourselves a favor, and do not buy.

Ponen una fotografía con 3 carretes y en ningún lugar dice que el precio es solo de una pieza. Yo creí que si eran 3 porque normalmente los compro en $115.00 MN. En esta ocasión no había en existencia donde lo compro habitualmente y por eso decidí comprarlo aquí, pero SE ME HIZO UN ROBO. Estos carretes no cuestan lo que dice aquí. Insisto, por este precio me compro 3 en Liverpool.

Don’t waste your money

This is not suitable for most Black & Decker trimmers. I needed it for mine & it doesn’t fit. Waste of money.

I installed this, and was shocked that within 2 minutes the entire reel was done. Not worth the money
