I used this for my inductive compatible moka pot

I purchased the inductive mocha pot 2 cup capacity. When I put the pot on the induction cooker, it always keeps beeping because it thinks the pot is removed or not centered. Usually the cooker would turn off for safety reasons But it stays on I guess because it still detects the pot is there just not centered properly. So I bought this induction plate because it will cover over the actual inductor so my induction cooker thinks I have the pot completely centered. It no longer beeps and there’s no delay in heating the pot. Since my pot is also induction compatible, is why it heats quickly. And I think if you’re using the standard aluminum it will not heat as fast because it’s aluminum. Very satisfied with this product.

Finally a product that works for an induction surface! It's a small plate so make sure to measure your pan/pot before purchase.

Works Great

As the great flooding (in CA) took hold of my neighborhood (but not my house, thankfully), gas was shut off and no idea when it will be back on. I realized I had a single induction burner to use but it seems every pan I own is aluminum, including my Moka pot. I truly love my morning espresso and having to use a coffee maker with regular coffee didn’t cut it. I ordered the steel plate and it got here quickly. I wasn’t sure if this would work but it did! I’m now thankfully back to my morning espresso but I wish now my gas would be connected (for heat, cooking, hot water and my dryer). But at least I have my espresso! The plate works great and I’ll give it to my son to use in his tiny house as it’s nearly complete.

Must buy

If you purchase a moku pot, this is a must have item. I use it to maintain an even temperature and create even heating. Excellent purchase.

Small, but serves its purpose

My wife likes making Greek coffee, but our coffee pot isn’t induction compatible. This works perfectly creating an induction heating element for the pot. It does get dirtier than I would expect, but works great,

Takes forever to heat moka and then hob shuts itself down due to overheating

I have used the converter disc several times with my 2 cup stainless steel moka -- it was too small for the magnet in the hob to sense it, so I purchased the disc. It works, but very slowly. It took a long time for the coffee to come up, and just as it started to do so, the induction hob shut itself off. I also noticed that the plate was completely discolored after the first use. The second time I used it, I kept it on a lower heat setting, thinking that this would help the issue. It took even longer to heat the coffee pot and it STILL shut itself off. No change the third time; I just really wanted a cup of espresso. That was the last time, however, because I figure it cannot be a good thing that my brand new induction stove is protesting the use of this disc by shutting down every time. No other pot I have used has caused this issue. I do not recommend this product.

Brilliant

I use this with my Bialetti moka pot and once I hear the coffee bubbling into the main cavity, I switch off the hob and the residue heat from the plate keeps the coffee flowing up into the pot.

It does what it is supposed to do

It is what I was looking for for a while. It looks good on your induction stove and doesn't take too much space. The only thing I would modify in the design is the handle length. If you use it in a high-intensity setting, you might start melting the handle as the metal connected to the plastic handle gets hot.

This is a good product with no significant drawbacks

This product does exactly what it says on the tin. It saved me the extra expense buying an induction stove-top pot for our new hob. Obviously it's a little more fiddly to use and takes a little longer to heat the coffee than a simple pot because of the extra thickness of metal involved, but the results are just as good. Take care to set the hob ring at medium heat (around 8 to 10 out of 14) and never on power boost and to remove the pot and adaptor plate from the hob ring together. I am not at all concerned about a slight discolouration of the stainless steel as the performance is unaffected.
