Great track

Great easy to use track just what I was looking for only gave it a four star review cuss I ordered 2 track packs and one of the boxes was missing a turnout track section over all its good quality though

Good but not enough parts for the price

Not enough straight pieces. If it had 4-6 more straight pieces i would give it 5.

issue w/ turnouts

This is a great track pack! Like always Bachmann EZ track is a good system. I only have one gripe with this pack, about the remote turnouts. Anyways... The good: SO MUCH TRACK!!! It has enough track for any beginner model railroader. The only thing I wish it would cone with are some 15 degree turns Bachmann EZ track is easy to assemble. Even though it might not be the best for more expierienced railroaders because of limited customization, it is (in my oppinion) the best for starting your railroad. The bad: How the heck do the remote turnouts work? Yes, I know that you can use them manually, but I cannot get the remote part to work. It looks like I need the “A” section to control it as well as the b section. If somebody will tell me how the heck you do this, I will update tha rating to 5 stars.

Great first step beyond the train set

Great way to take the first step beyond the trainset. Pays for itself just because of the remote control switches. NOT for little kids or people who have problems with eye/hand coordination or dealing with fine tolerances. My wife is also a model railroader. She wanted to try a new scale, and this, along with the Bachmann DCC Golden Spike set (includes the basic Bachmann DCC power plant, and TWO locomotives, which in themselves pay for the set) was the perfect introduction to a new scale and a new technology. If you do this, you will need to come up with a 16 V AC power source for the switches as it is not included in either set; any regular trainset power pack will suffice.

The best thing after buying the trains !!!

Wow, wow everything you need to make almost unlimited layouts !!! Use the four switches or not !!! Freedom from the darn oval or circle at last. And it doesn't break the bank to do it ......

VERY HAPPY

The media could not be loaded. So many. parts .is a good deal only the switches cost over 200 dollars, lot of people complain about the switches costing derail . but i have none. for me they work just fine. try fast Run and very slow NO derail. one thing I note is I have 3 locomotor 2 of them have 6 axle, one has 4 axle. the four axle yea has problem crossing at low speed. I have done lot of test many hours and is final only 4 axle locomoter has problem crossing the switches at low speed. there you have it. nice hobby.

Turnouts are terrible

My locomotive from another Bachmann set won't go over any of the turnouts without either stopping on the turnout for a couple seconds or it derails. Other rolling stock has no issues. Called Bachmann service centre but they don't have any "live" reps to talk to. Have only had the sets a couple days but out of frustration, I'm returning them tomorrow. I'll go with another brand. I don't know whether it was Bachmann or Amazon that sent me a new set. I will try to remedy the problem and go from there. Thank you to whoever is responsible for my new set. What I'm having trouble with is the locomotive from the other set. It either stalls or derails at the turnouts. The other cars (rolling stock) go over them fine. I can't really operate the train set when the engine doesn't work properly.
