Not actually a 14-cup cooker!!!
In general I like this rice cooker. However, I just didn't feel that the little plastic cup it comes with is an actual "1 cup" of rice or water, so I measured. It's not a liquid cup OR a dry measure. It's close to 3/4ths of a cup, but actually not even that. OK, fine. Still, it's advertised as a 7 cup dry/14 cup cooked. I can make 6 of the little provided cups, and the rice is nearly, almost lifting the lid off. (NOTE: This cooker is a lot easier to clean if you don't have to scrub the lid.) So, basically, it's a lie. You can't cook 7 CUPS of rice, even if you use the inaccurate measuring cup provided, 7 of them won't fit. It would overflow. I'm not sure what the description means.

So far so good
Tried this today for the first time. I'm not a rice expert but my brown rice was up to my standards. I think I overcooked it a bit though as it doesn't automatically stop the cooking. I had to put alarm which I let snooze lol. The rice got stuck into the bottom a bit and had to be scrubbed off but to me that is less important than having non toxic pot to cook my rice in. I did lot of research and read all reviews on this one too and the price point and non toxic pot made me order it. Returned other more expensive one after I realized the pot was teflon. So far so good.

Prop 65
I researched non-toxic rice cookers before choosing this one so when this arrived I was surprised to see the Prop 65 warning on the bottom of the box! I emailed the company directly and finally got a response on the second try. I think AMAZON should include these warnings in item descriptions. Here is the reply I received from the company: Hello, Thank you for contacting Aroma Housewares. The concern with Prop 65 is with a wire that runs from the power supply to the heating element. Should the power cord ever catch fire, the fumes from the sheathing on the wiring can be harmful when inhaled. Under normal operation, there are no toxins that would leech into the food as it cooks. Should you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact our customer service team. I do feel better after getting the response. I haven’t actually used the item yet, because I wasn’t sure I would send it back. I am sure it will work well enough though!

Get Stainless Steel Products
The cost difference between stainless steel and aluminum is minimal. Get the better product. Does rice stick to this? Absolutely. I don't care, it is easy to clean.

Great gift
I got this as a gift for my mom because she loves gadgets that just help in the kitchen, as she is always busy. She has only made rice in it a couple of times and mostly uses it for sautéing only. Pretty easy to use and works really well. Highly recommend to that mom in your life

Perfect rice every time!
I have been searching for a rice cooker and this company is based in CA, though everything is made in China. Aroma has a good history, and their customer service is excellent! I did everything wrong the first two times I used this, finally called them directly and not only did she troubleshoot with me, but I was also given extra information on the appliance. This girl new everything, was def not reading from a script, was kind and professional. Glad I shop with my gut, lol, great company ~ Aroma!

I would run back into a burning building for this rice cooker!
Not pure white, but slightly off white. I bought this one and the smaller version (6 cup Aroma which is perfect size for two people); the colors are definitely different, the smaller one is pure white... if that matters. But because of it's performance, I couldn't care less. I bought these two so I could make sushi rice for a dinner party I was having. Both performed perfectly. I just decided to try something in this one...Rice-a-Roni. Used the Saute/Simmer function to brown it per the package instructions - takes longer than skillet but no burned rice because I walked away. Then put the seasoning and water in, set it to white rice function, put the top on and walked away. Took a nice, hot, leisurely shower and came back to perfect rice and no mess. Like most of you who are looking at this rice cooker, I got rid of my old aluminum pan one for health reasons. Then i bought a $200 one from the Asian market, only to find it impossible to clean. Ater that I had been making my rice in my instant pot, which has a steel inner pot. But that was such a hassle - it took too long to make and clean up after - that I just didn't make rice that often. Now, with these two, I can see I'll be making it quite often due to ease of use and cleanup. Growing up in a house where there was only minute rice, I did not know until recently that you need to rinse rice...I know - ewwwww! After reading reviews on rice washing bowls, I saw several that said just wash the rice right in the cooker's bowl. Surprisingly, the rice stays together and doesn't drip out with the water. The washing helps keep the foam down, and thus minimize the spewing out the steam hole. Next, stainless steel is like cast iron, as you cook with it the metal molecules expand and absorb cooking oil, then become slicker as you use it. I use coconut oil to coat my stainless pots before cooking and yes, it does cloud the rice rinse water. But no sticking, no discoloration! And one more thing: do not use your standard 1 cup measure from your drawer to measure the rice. The 'rice cup' that comes with all rice cookers is actually 3/4ths US cup. This could account for reviewers having issues with burning and sticking. Lastly, both the cookers have beautiful encapsulated bottomed pans like really good cookware. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go have some awesome Rice-a-Roni!

Even boil potatoes in it!
Awesome as a rice cooker; but need to remove rice immediately or it starts to cook to the bottom. I also use the pot to boil cut up potatoes! Just add hot water, set it to white rice and it boils them for me! They didn't get cooked enough trying to steam cook them while the rice cooked. So I emptied out the rice, washed the pot and gave boiling them a try, worked great! Our kitchen is under remodel right now and this has been a great multifunctional appliance! Right now I am attempting to boil macaroni noodles for my kids. We'll see how it goes! Absolute worth the money for this size and stainless insert!

Excellent Compact Rice cooker!
Excellent rice cooker! Cooks, sautes and steams. I steamed wild salmon fillet with basmati rice. Total cooking time was roughly 40 minutes (beeps at the end of cooking), including the time it took to heat up the unit. Easy cleanup. I just soaked it with soapy water for half an hour or so. Rice does stick to the bottom, although I've only been cooking individual portions. I'd purchase again. Highly recommended!

The product stopped working after using a few times. I bought it because the inner pot is stainless steel. I will not recommend this product.
