Great price and gets the job done

We love this rice cooker. It is simple to use and gets the job done. It also came with a steam tray for us to make baby food. The size is perfect for a family of four. We eat rice regularly, and this cooks within 30mins to get the job done. It is very sturdy and the red colour goes well with my kitchen decorations. The only complaint I have is that it does not make congee which my old did.

WISH IT WOULD AUTO SHUT OFF

This item works great... I would give it 5 full stars if only it would auto shut off.... it stays warm after the rice is cooked, and the 'warm' feature is a little too warm, so the bottom of rice gets too crusty/dark. That's my only issue with it.

works good for RSO

i only used it once to make a sm batch of RSO. worked grt but will switch to warm due to the light weight of my product as it boils down. no worries tho. i also watched the temp with a heat senser to make sure it didnt get too hot for what i was doin. you can lift it out. this thing is made for rice and i imagine it does so awesomely too. recomended!

Does it's job and still reliable months later.

I once wrote a review of a high priced big named rice cooker on this site. This cooker was the replacement for that failed item. I have used this cooker nearly every day for months and it is still going strong. I use it for rice, soups, to steam veggies as well as oil frying potatoes. When I tell you if I had to live with only one cook source this would be it. The high priced competition that rhymes with horrible Beach can not hold a candle to simplicity and utilitarian function. That is what I have to say about it.

Great product!

I have had this rice cooker for about 3 years, and it's held up very well. The steamer has become a bit discoloured and/or stained over time. The non-stick coating in the rice cooker itself looks still brand new. My only complaint is that the bottom layer of rice tends to get burnt while cooking. I find I have to cook at least 1 cup to have enough well-cooked rice (I live alone and sometimes just want to make a smaller portion).
