Solid and They Come With Lids
Lots of bowls don't come with lids, so this is great. I make doughs and even salads and store them in the fridge in these bowls, and the lids are great for this. These are nice and big and for mixing doughs by hand they're very convenient.

Glass microwave bowl
I was looking for a small bowl which was large to make oatmeal in the microwave without overflowing the sides of the container. This bowl works perfectly and is inexpensive.

Used for Dog bowls
We were using stainless steel bowls and decided to switch to glass. We use one as a water dish which keeps the water cooler, and another for dog food dish. They are easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. They can be slippery when soapy wet so be careful transferring them back and forth. The Thick glass makes them heavy and not easily tipped over. We use these with our Great Dane and a Husky

Perfect bowls, useless lids
Yes, you can buy a similarly sized and shaped bowl at Wally world for like six dollars BUT they are not the same quality at all. These are nice, heavy glass bowls that I expect to last years. The lids would be great of they stayed on! But they don’t! So don’t bother spending the extra money to get the kids. I’m hoping there are better replacement lids available but haven’t found any yet. I want to be able to use these for mixing bowls, to cook steel cut oats in the microwave, for bread dough, and for food storage, so if I can’t find lids, they won’t work for all of those things. If I’ve done the math right, the 6-piece set has bowls that are 4 cups, 6 cups, and 10 cups in capacity. I’m buying another set of the 2.5 quart bowls (6 cups I believe) with lids as that is a great size for me and those lids look like a different style, so I’m hoping they’ll stay on. I’m going to buy a set of the 4-quart bowls with lids. I love the idea of the versatility of these bowls with the lids, and the quality of the bowls is great, but the lids on this set just don’t stay on, unfortunately. They’re a bit of an investment, but even without the lids, it’s much better than spending six dollars and having the bowl cut me or break or chip and having to just keep replacing the cheap ones. I have a set of Anchor glass storage containers I’ve had for almost 10 years and they’re holding up great, the lids are sturdier than the Pyrex ones that I’ve already had to replace, so I’m hoping to find Anchor lids that work for these. I even have an Anchor glass casserole dish I bought in 1998 that I still use almost daily. From what I can tell so far, their quality is still great. Sure I’d love these to be priced lower, but I still feel like they’re worth the money to get these quality bowls that, barring my clumsy self dropping them onto the iron grill of my stove, I expect to last decades with no problem. I only paid a couple extra dollars for the lids but I wouldn’t bother since they just don’t stay on, and one of them is actually too small to even get onto it’s bowl.

High-Quality But Very Heavy to Handle!
These are lovely, high-quality bowls that produce very nice results with bake-from-scratch desserts, but be warned they are very heavy to handle! Their weight is an issue when holding aloft to pour batter into a baking pan or whenever you need to hold them up with one hand. I find them especially difficult to wash, as it requires a lot of strength to hold them with one hand while soaping/rinsing with the other. The elderly or anyone with physical issues that affect strength or dexterity would definitely find these a chore to lift. Be warned you don't want either young children or pets around your feet when lifting these -- they are definitely heavy enough to cause injury if they fell. In fact, you will want to safeguard your own feet when using, in case you drop one. They do have many good points, though, and I am happy with the purchase. The quality and workmanship are excellent. I particularly bought them because they were advertised as USA-made, which is a huge plus for me. I try to avoid food-prep tools made in countries where materials may have contaminants or the ability to leach toxic chemicals. One more thing I have found with these bowls is they seem to affect the texture of my from-scratch brownies, cookies, etc. I had formerly used plastic bowls. Since switching to the glass bowls, I find my dessert batters require less mixing time and produce a somewhat fluffier cookie/brownie. (I have not yet tried using the bowls for a cake but I imagine the result would be the same. ) Since we prefer moist brownies and cookies, I have had to adjust my mixing time when using these. I have reduced the wet-ingredients mixing phase from three minutes to two, which has worked well, although I may try reducing the time even more to fine-tune the results. None of this has been a problem, though, because it is a process that can be tweaked, and the end result of using these bowls versus my plastic ones is that I can get the desserts mixed in less time.

Great Bowls
Oddly enough I searched forever to try and find these at Wallyworld and elsewhere to no avail. Go figure that something as useful and sturdy could not be found in any mass merchandise store. Perfect size for pasta, salads, and anything else you'd need a good size sturdy bowel for.

Excellent Bowls. Oven Safe
I bought these to make the trending Peasant bread. They went from room temp to a 450F oven for 15 minutes, then 375 for another 15 minutes with absolutely no issues. The bread popped right out without fuss from the buttered bowls. I let them cool completely before I put them in the sink. These will explode if they experience drastic temperature changes, so be aware of that. Perfect size bowl to make peasant bread, which is great for just me and hubby, and wonderful for bread bowl ideas.

Blown away by these bowls!
These bowls are an incredible value. They are nice and big and large for any serious cook or baker! It is hard to find anything like this anymore. The sides are nice and high for mixing. Less mess. And you get two! Great for big or double batches. And they can double as a dessert bowl or for large salads. They are even almost straight enough on the sides to pull off a trifle. I will try it. You will not be disappointed!

Useful item
This is a robust, well-made bowl; and these are said to be even tougher than Pyrex bowls, which are very good. It’s a U.S. quart—same size as the pre-Imperial measures quart was in Britain, which is to say a little less than a litre (946 ml). That’s a good all-round size for a lot of kitchen jobs. It came beautifully wrapped to protect it in the post.

Good size, heavy and very useful
These are good to have in any home. Two arrived broken. I did not bother as they are selling at a very reasonable price and they were shipped from the USA. Degrading stars on the packaging which was very poor hence the breakage.
