Great cutters

Cuts multi strand cable effortlessly and leaves a nice tapered end.

These due the job, if you tighten the center bolt each time you use, loosens up after each use, even with lock tight.

Keep looking

These are okay, not great. Sometimes they bend small single strand wire instead of cutting it. These are sold by American fishing wire. Are they made in U.S.? Nope, they're Chinese made.

Solid build. Pulls strands together.

These are great solidly-built cable cutters. I've always used regular pliers to cut cable, however, the resulting fraying made it difficult to slide on crimp sleeves. This problem doesn't really happy with nylon-coated cable. However, with bare cable, fraying almost always occurred when I cut with regular pliers. These cable cutters really do pull the strands inward, creating a slight taper, thus making it easier to slide on crimp sleeves.
