Good for my uses -

I had a sore quad muscle and didn't want to rest too much so I bought these. They helped keep me training. I would not recommend or use on a race simply for me, because they do seem to warm me up a bit, but for training and helping with sore muscles they are perfect.

Almost perfect.

Wish they would have pockets like the tri shorts to store gels. Compression works and feels great. Maybe a tad longer.

These are my favorite and thinnest compression shorts for running

These are my favorite compression shorts for running. They're the thinnest material of all the running compression shorts I own. I've run marathons in them and hundreds of miles of training runs. They're a little too thick for a base layer, though they could work in a pinch under a pair of pants if necessary.

Excellent compression

In my estimation, the 2XU Compression shorts are by far superior to any other. The fit overall is perfect and the comfort is almost as if you can not detect you are wearing them. Delighted with this product.

One of the best compression shorts on the market

My wife bought these compression shorts when they were at a discounted price of just under £25. At that price these compression shorts are a bargain, but I would not pay the so-called full price currently of £43. In the last few years I have tried Adidas, Nike, Under Amour and a few lesser known brands. So I think I can give an honest and thorough review of my 2XU Compression shorts MA3851b. On the plus side: They are well made, the leg inseam is about 9 inches so even taller people will find these shorts cover your quadriceps. I like the fact the shorts have a tie string to tighten waist if you need for a snug tight. They do not chafe me so they are comfortable to wear for long periods and can be used either in the gym or for running. Another plus is the compression is firmer then other brands giving your muscles more support and thus less vibration. On the down side: Like all other big brands of compression shorts all full price they are over priced. I don't think that is going to change any time soon but I would urge people to look out for when the items are on sale. Even though I hand wash all my compression shorts by hand, over time the compression loosens and thus is not as effective. Since the marketing of compression wear has become big business I do feel writers who review these products should be more insightful and sound less like a cheerleader. I do believe that all major sports brands could charge less for their products if they did not waste company money sponsoring already wealthy athletes to tell us how good something is.

Expensive for a pair of tights, but a very superior technical product

They come across like a regular pair of tights with a drawstring and a tiny key pocket at the front (i`m not a big fan of this, would have rather preferred a slightly larger pocket at the rear). i`m 5'7" and the M size suits me perfectly. The are a bit too long for my liking, going all the way down till an inch above my knee cap. Upside is the amazing compression and support without being overtly tight. I use these for causal running and wear them under a pair of shorts.
